@@planckc1 It was a simulation of difficult conditions. The women are ahead but have a strong opponent facing them, the guys are behind and need to come back, but have very little room for error. Also, each second game starts from 9:8 with the guy on 8 points serving. Also, these "clowns" own this sport, their "clown" system works well.

@K. Kong sun needed less points to win sets. eg. 8-6 with sun leading means that she needs 3 points to win the sets whereas xu needed 5 points to win the set.

Silly way to compare. Men had a much smaller margin of errors, and it would affect playing strategies. I suspect in real matches, the point difference will be bigger, and it will be difficult for Sun to win a game from Xu.

The pressure is real ! It's hard to be as fast as usual when the doubt is in your head . It'is a mind game and being aggressive against the unknown opponent plan without time to build confidence ... TT is a game of strategy , control , condition , concentration and skill is just a part of the mix . Some time when you are with the flow it is very strange , all wonders are possible , slow motion Matrix style with razer sharp accuracy by pure reflex and instincts yet this God mode is rare and against equal opponent many factors have their role in the action. 1 vs 1 I love it :)

Xu Xin can still make high quality shots when he moves fast and takes the ball early. But when he is away from the table, he can't move as fast as before, so he starts to rely more on his arm movement, which makes his shots less powerful and less consistent.

I don’t get why everyone is so excited with Sun Yingsha defeating Xu Xin. First, take into account the age gap, Xu Xin is 31 and Sun Yingsha is 20. With this age difference there is a significant difference in reaction speed. I’m not saying Sun Yingsha isn’t exceptional at Table Tennis, but do you really think Xu Xin was trying his hardest effort? See Xu Xin vs Fan Zhendong and Xu Xin vs Ma Long, and you can see some difference.

I have seen playing women against men in table tennis, they usually don't stand a chance even when in about the same ranking. These games seem like arranged to me, I don't believe my eyes. at 21:32 the man does not try to reach the ball he even tears his hand back. Just look at all those unforced errors and how the wins of men and women are climbing up in paralleI in order to keep up the suspense. I do not think it is just my male ego, but if so, let me know if you think I am wrong.

I believe Xu Xin's strategy of trying to overpower Sun with his forehand failed. In stead, he would have better odds just lob and counter. He won a good percentage of lobs against male players and female players just don't have the power to kill him.

And if you look closely, you'll see it is for a lot of the other spectators as well. It's almost like a show with Guo Liang in the middle like the don all dressed in black. Good show. yes. women team has 1-2 pts advantage per round. the game.doesnt start from 0. First round they start with 8-6, second round 9-8, 3rd round 8-6, etc
