Even Regular Rui would give Enmu trouble, he kept up with Tanjiro who was using Hinokami Kagura. If Enmu turns into a train then Rui can use his strings to cut them apart easily and I don't think Enmu's sleep would work on Rui properly as Rui is also a demon and demon's don't even need sleep

Not only that, Michikatsu is practically featless, being the 2nd strongest still means he doesn't have Yoriichi's strength and the people who are weaker than him are also featless. Him having moon breathing also does not automatically mean he is far stronger than anyone, Tanjiro had Sun Breathing but it doesn't mean he was even close to the hashiras's strength until the infinity castle arc. Even when Michikatsu turned into Kokushibo, trained for nearly 500 years, developed his blood demon art to complement his fighting style, having infinite stamina, endurance and regeneration, he was still struggling against one hashira. Imagine if Gyomei became a demon and trained for 500 years, he would one shot Kokushibo.

Muzan was impressed at Michikatsu because of his thirst for power which resonates with him as he is the Demon King. Michikatsu being able to hold his own against Muzan?
