Every racing series offers better motorsport than F1. Even a small local kart race. F1 has become a lame and unwatchable s*itshow. On the other hand, WEC has become really great in the last years and this race was one of the best ever. I only missed 30 mins in total. The only race ever i watched more of were on several occasions the 24h on the Nürburgring.

So as a lover of racing in all facets of racing, the action level is quite intense towards the middle of the field. I’ve seen Porsche Cup drivers get closer but this is another level. 1:01:45: That turned out to be the case. The Cadillac started on the tires they ran in Hyperpole qualifying, which had three hard fast laps on them. Having tried to upload an hour long video to U-tube I suspect that FIAWEC are having the problems I had: Unauthorised sccess from new address (Spa not Imola) or you require further verification to upload a video longer than 15 mins. - I gave up! Luckily WEC don't look like they have. These vids are great especially if you went to the event & actually want to see what happened out of your sight. Thanks WEC - I just wish all of the FIA did the same.

@TimTricks-zw9tb Thank you for the reply. Indeed, it is great to watch a race you were actually at. I've done it, and I will say, obviously going to the race is a visceral, tangible experience. However, you definitely don't get the big picture afforded by tv coverage and the excellent commentary provided by the WEC. My preference is actually to watch on tv bc of the commentary and overall big picture view afforded by tv. That said, there's something special about the smell, the sound, and the general theater of a track side event.
