The steering wheel is a vintage, 'thin rim' Nardi which was an accessory in period. This was requested by our client, and not to be confused with the readily available and rather ubiquitous modern Nardi (thick rim). Thanks for asking!

Hello, I recently acquired one and am set about restoring it. Where did you source the interior? I also require a full convertible mechanism + canvas. Any forum leads that recommend places to buy and step by step procedures as to what to attack first? Mechanically the car is perfect. I am mostly now addressing cosmetic jobs.

shaazy, There are a number of Mercedes upholstery material supply houses in Orange and LA counties in Calif. The leather typically all comes from the same mills or tanners in Europe. So it's a matter of who you develop a relationship with and who you like. For the soft-top frame: contact Gernold at SL-Tech in Maine as he is a specialist in this item. For step by step procedures, check our website as it's all spelled out there. For your interior, you will need an expert trimmer after you purchase the seat covers, etc. to have it looking like our car. There is a lot to it from sciving the leather to get it thin enough to wrap the dash to having the seats not look 'over-stuffed' (you will likely need new 'horse-hair' pads).
