they dont try they to fix with rice just wanna evaporate water coz rice absorb moisture, its a good thing.

It's good way for phone drop on water for protect the hardware from get the short. Turn it off and disassemble what can be remove, and place all part in the rice. If after 2 days it can't be turn on, get the phone fixed, there will be not many components that need to replaced.

Cat litter (silicone one not any other crap) than take it to IT guy to restore all ur data, and then buy a phone with IP68, done, no more water damage, it's that simple, since the first waterproof smartphone came out, Samsungs S4 Active I belive, I never bought a phone that is not water resistant, that's just being stupid(no offence bro)
