I agree - the space is only designed for short term living, maybe two weeks /a month at a time. I think that's why they prioritized pantry space - for food that lasts a long time. But for full time living for two people I'd agree a full standing fridge, with big freezer at the bottom makes more sense. I would have opted for a smaller sink and sacrificed a bit of counter space. I think I'd also change the bedroom - not enough storage for clothes there full time. An area to eat and work inside would be great too.

This is a real beauty! I love the colors, the wood, the flow, the sense of space, and that it’s all one level. I also like the asymmetry of the light and window between the 2 sliders. There’s so much symmetry with the roof and the flow inside, which is great, that it’s nice to see a bit of asymmetry! Kinda like a wee bit of dissonance in a melodic piece of music. Congrats Bryce and Rasa!

The design of the bedroom storage on either side with a tiny table area is definitely a high level.
@theresabu3000Ай бұрын
Yeah - I like too. Gives it a bit of hotel/short term staying vibe though. For really living there it's not enough storage - or you would need to put a lot into the bed which is harder to access everyday. 🤗 I'm also missing a table/desk area inside - though that's probably difficult to add with it being only one level. Maybe a murphy/elevator bed could have solved that? It still could be added later - as I'm assuming they both want to work from home as well. I would have paired that with slightly bigger closets on each side and maybe a storage loft above the bathroom - to put seldom used stuff - like outdoor gear... 🤔

Hyper functionality within spacial confines is exactly what I love the most about small space design.. it's so satisfying!! Eg the loo being slightly forward of the wall, but within the spacial alignment of the shower and door arch is just perfect. So often people put storage above head but that can quickly clutter and make an oppressive feel, and being a tall person too, having the cabinetry low is so so satisfying keeping the eye line clear and light and open. So good! Very cool to hear the positivity of the team when it's so well deserved and earned ❤ thanks for sharing the stages for us to learn from too
