Do you believe buying a new Fujifilm GFX 50R bundled with this 50mm lens is a good idea since the camera is more than 4 years old? I want to try a medium format camera alongside my Nikon D850. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

no, that 50mm sucks

Big man, can you point me to some examples of sharpness differences between the GF 50mm f/3.5 and other units in the GF line please? I would love to compare and see the gulf.

Thanks so much. I completely agree with you about the 63. I had to return it bc of the noisy focusing. The 45 is so central to my work (been with GFX 2 years, now have the GF100) that I own two, bc I would be in serious trouble if something happened to my 45 on a shoot. I had a feeling that I would not need the 50 as I don't do street, and you confirmed that.

Almost everybody sucks. This channel is filled with professionalism, but it is earthy, and genuine. Others are the total opposite - try to make it to look more worthy, but no quality there. I like only Mark Smith, Morten Hilmer, ...

Hey Ken, you may or may not dig this.. you were in my dream last night. I told you that I got the X-T3 based on your recommendation, and that my reasoning was that you’re so smart and recommended it so it had to be good. Haha.

Theoria Apophasis random, but, look into iridology. Amazing diagnostic tool, discovered by a surgeon. Jensen’s books and diagrams are great.

in regards to the xpro3 is it able to do some in body focus stacking? I have a handful of x mount lenses already so I'm trying to decide if the XP3 is a good choice or just go for the gfx50r and the GF50mm cause it's all I can afford right now. I mainly like to shot landscape and portrait with an occasional bear, moose, and caribou so far.

Brilliant! Fuji' produced a real photographer's lens there. Of course, the narcisistic 'Meaurebaters' will crow but 40mm (35mm Eqv) is optimal for so many compositions and candid photography that those with an eye for photographic art appreciate.

Canon has two pancake lenses that are sharper than their usual consumer offering (admittedly bar is low) The 22mm in EF-M mount and the 40mm f/2.8. The 40mm adapts nicely to the GFX, about 10% of the field of view isn't usable due to vignetting, another 10% requires correction but the remainder seems sharp IMO. Just my $0.02 :)
