Wasn't a fan of how they made Bumi, but casting was spot on. I wish Zhao was closer to his show counterpart. Jet, spot on. Iroh, solid. Sokka, perfect.

I’m so surprised no one is talking about how much they changed the dynamic between Suki and Sokka. They made Suki kinda creepily stalk Sokka and she’s like obsessed with him right away. It was distracting in my opinion. Sokka’s arc of being embarrassed and refusing to acknowledge that the Kyoshi warriors got the better of him and could fight like true warriors then changing his attitude and asking, humbly, to be trained by them is a huge part of his character development.
@rr.studios11 ай бұрын

@@rr.studios to me, what doesn't make even more sense is how Master Paku is made to be this "old sexist traditionalist," who gets made into being sort of a douche bag. But SOKKA DOESN'T get his "time to shine" with character development in that aspect. I thought when they cut out Sokka being sexist that immediately they'd do the same for Paku. It was....fine . Some changes I like , some I absolutely hated ( like the ones in episode 4 ). And why the hell was Aang not bending water in the book/season F@cking dedicated to him learning waterbending ? Nit having Aang pick up waterbending faster than Katara is one thing but not having him bend period is a whole other problem . I'd give it a 6 or 7/10 , some changes are okay , some are absolutely dumb and uncalled for .
@unomiguel01711 ай бұрын
The problem is in the live action episode 1 , the monks just stated that he must start learning other bending skills and aang was just told that he is the avatar and he must leave to train plus the fact that katara is also a noob in waterbending, so she can't be aang's master. The problem is u can't take the cartoon away from the live -action which is technically a new way of retelling a story thru a new medium and interpretation.

My guess is since they said they're going to have the story take place over a couple years to kind of work with the actors aging like normal humans do, maybe they'll do a slight time skip from Season 1's ending to Season 2's first episode that takes place over a few months to half a year and covers his training with Water bending towards mastery.
@MononokeHimeHM11 ай бұрын
@@unomiguel017 Well, Katara had the waterbending scroll AND was a novice, they could've trained together to learn the basics. They traversed the WHOLE world and he still hasn't done a single waterbending move. I really thought they wanted to focus with him learning with Pakku and I was waiting to get my opinion on it, it would've been a confusing but maybe understanding change. But no. No trainign with Pakku. Pakku doesn't train ANYONE! And then Katara is supposed to teach Aang waterbending at the end?! Like why tf didn't they do that before? And how is Katara good enough as a bender? She's supposed to have huge potential and passion but is supposed to lack practice and advices from a Master. Here, nope. She's self-taught, she hasn't learn anything from a MASTER and she's supposed to teach the Avatar. The ONLY redeeming thing that I'd say is that it was nice to show that she's learning waterbending moves from fights she saw with earthbenders. Nice (only) touch.

Gran Gran I can forgive because of her age. Makes sense she'd know OF the Avatar enough to be able to realize it was him almost immediately. I actually like how much more prevalent Gran Gran was in this version, not only having a lot more speaking lines, but making several returns in references and character motivations/development. The second one though, I'll give you that one. I'd wish they'd have kept his first big Avatar State moment being falling into the water and then unleashing the big wave of water as the ATLA theme played in the background, just like in the original cartoon. Although, if they'd done that, then we'd have gotten two of those scenes almost back to back, so I can understand if they felt it'd ruin the pacing of things and that's why they cut it, but, still: in the original cartoon, it served to show the audience how powerful Aang really is (and set up Koizilla since it implies being in this State unleashes great power), and it could have done the same here for any new people watching (if any). Ah, well. At least they didn't cut Koizilla lmao 😅

Him becoming a bitter old man full of resent towards Aang didn't quite land right with me. Bumi was Aang's last human friend still alive after he woke up. The only person that knew him before. It felt misplaced that Bumi would be so pissed at Aang. I understand the frustration Bumi had but in the show it was handled better. Bumi was, over everything, happy to find his friend alive and well. It was heartwarming. here, it made me uncomfortable and I just wanted the scenes to end.. :/

@@MononokeHimeHMWhen I saw Roku after the episode with Bumi, I literally told myself: “Nah, but Netflix swapped Bumi and Roku for what?” Roku wasn’t bitter at Aang in the og cartoon of course, but he was more serious than this Roku we got here, just like the Bumi in this live action turned out. (But a bit too serious, and very salty and bitchy if I say so myself) Literally guilt tripping Aang every second line he gets. I like that they are actively putting a couple of season 2 episodes into season 1, because season 2 is so packed that they can't afford to not adapt most episodes. Season 1 of the cartoon had much more filler, so using it to free space for season 2 to shine is great.
@legendarymemer109511 ай бұрын
“Fillers” as you said, made a great effort of actually developing the gaang and their relationship between each other in the og show, which wasn’t as nearly present enough in the Netflix’s live action. For example, one of the best filler episodes of season 2 regarding Aang and Katara’s relationship building - “The Cave of Two Lovers”, got added here. Netflix took it from the second season and mashed into the first season’s episode 4 - “Into the Dark”, alongside another 3 storylines, which are: Jet, The Mechanist and King Bumi himself. Now, please tell me, would you consider this particular change, considering how exactly it was implemented, a good decision, just for the sake of “freeing space for season 2 to shine”? Curious as to why they wouldn’t just wait for season 2 to come around and actually make a proper Kataang episode, integrating “The Cave of Two Lovers” narrative within said episode. I’m saying this since we have barely seen, if any, moments of Aang actually developing a crush on Katara, which is a very important part of the og show and will play a pivotal role in season 2. The og show did a great job with the “love from the first sight” scene of Aang looking at Katara for the first time after she rescued him from the iceberg. It clearly foreshadows his growing attraction towards her and makes their relationship development very interesting to follow. Unlike the og show, Netflix didn’t do any of what I mentioned above, as well didn’t demonstrate (in my opinion) any significant signs that would foreshadow Aang and Katara ending up together. I feel like the storyline of the “Two Lovers” in episode 4 was wasted by Netflix for no reason.

Speaking as someone who never watched The Avatar before this, I liked it. Prince Zuko actor was a definite highlight in the series and actor who played Aang was also very good considering his age, I was very impressed with both their acting skills. I believe Sokka and Katara characters weren't enough fleshed out to really bond with them. On the other hand, I loved the uncle of Zuko, brilliant character and acting skills. The actor playing fire lord - Daniel Dae Kim was a nice surprise. I loved his character in the Lost series and was very happy to see him again on the big screen. CGI was solid, a few scenes were standouts, other were ok. The 'face monster' or what is was, was very well done. Very creepy and realistic. Now to the story, I believe it could be done better a bit. There were quite a few times where the dialogue wasn't good and just lazy imo and it felt like they were rushing through the story. The only change I wasn't fully on board with was how Ko The Face Stealer worked. He was my favorite spirit in the season 1 animation and I liked that concept behind hiding your emotions or he'll steal your face--right then and there! To have it reduced to, "I'm gonna trick you in an illusion and then tie you up to steal your face...when I get to it later," really took away the fear of impending doom I remembering feeling while watching Aang react to his words. In the live action I was like "Bruh! Why is he just openly being shocked?" Then I remembered no one told him how Ko worked...which also made me realize that that meant they changed how he worked lol. Butttt, for the sake of the episode and the three different plots they chose to weave together, I found it to be a reasonable modification, within those limitations, to his character. *I also like that they added a bit of lore to Ko by giving him a mother who makes faces. Ironic that he steals them.

I personally give this a solid 8.5 out of 10. The acting was really good. Dallas and Ian were outstanding for me. Daniel was also very good, but he didn’t get enough airtime to judge properly. The other protagonists were really good. The bending looked amazing for the most part. Fire and Air bending carried, Earth and Water lacked a little bit. CG for animals and backgrounds looked amazing for the most part too. There was some bits that dropped, but overall it was really good. The plot was good, although it was a bit strange seeing parts mixed together from multiple episodes of the cartoon. The direction they went was odd, but it worked. They did not want to make it a shot for shot remake, which personally, i am glad about. I hope it gets renewed for a season 2. It deserves it. The work that the cast and crew have put into this is phenomenal. I think they could make season 2 even better than season 1 by learning from mistakes. Her role in how she was the elder who told the full story to Aang was believable because she would most be the most likely to know important information and seemed to be a respected elder/leader. I also loved how she… later played a part in helping out Katara. She was one of my favorite characters in this live action. I hope we do get to see more seasons and Netflix recognizes that the series can only get better, especially since the various people directly related to this live action show, including one if the creators (if I remember right) did say they wanted people to give their honest critiques, good and bad, so they can learn from it. This show is off to a good start, so I hope Netflix realizes this and us more seasons. I wouldn’t be upset if they actually split the books up into two parts, half a book per season. That’s my wishful thinking. I just want a certain prince to spend an entire season with Team Avatar, because nothing is better than seeing Zuko and Aang together. 😍

@@thelastairprince This idea over splitting the seasons up came largely from the last season of Avatar, which feels to me like two separate stories shoved back-to-back. As for Netflix and the episode count, 5 to 8 is the usual. Unless the show does extremely well or some Netflix people feel generous, I’ve often see shows get less episodes as the seasons go on. TBH, I wouldn’t be surprised if, according they renew the show, we see the episode count drop (I hope not), but I’ve seen good shows have their episode count drop, maybe due to the popularity it may or may not be getting. Side note, one of the creators, Albert Kim, said he knew this scrutiny would be coming, but also said it’s better to be talked about then ignored. And the fact that the show actually does (to me) gets progressively better. Not every can binge watch this to see. Me and my dad… we started out our binge watching of the series minutes after the show was released (at midnight). 😂 We both love it, btw, and it’s more impressive my dad thought it was good. 😁

I’m actually more surprised by all the harsh criticism. I was almost in my 20’s when the original came out and I thought it was great then there was that dumpster fire movie we will not talk about and then the live action show was announced. I wasn’t expecting it to be great since it wasn’t gonna be beat for beat so my nostalgia wasn’t gonna get triggered as hard but I was willing to have an open mind and I actually liked it because of that. I feel like a lot of people say they had an open mind going in but had a lot of expectations that we all knew weren’t going to be met like the episodes not all lining up to the cartoon. In a time when pretty much all live actions of a cartoon suck it was nice to see one that wasn’t horrible. I just hope they don’t let the negative voices keep it from having a second season cuz I’d still watch it.

What's up with Aang not bending a drop of water the entire season? and why doesn't katara need a master? she is her own master? in the original, she was self-thought and she was so so so mad at Pakku for not wanting to teach her but she still convinced him to teach her. but in this one she is her own master and she doesn't need any experienced waterbender's help to learn more? why? coz girl power? WTF...and why was Zuko so watered down? It felt like Zuko from the end of season 2 where he is finally accepting that his honor doesn't only lie in capturing the avatar. Zuko needed to be a lot more of an asshole for the 1st season. And why there is so little of roku in the entire season? Roku felt responsible for the War as Sozen was his friend and he has ignored Sozen's action when he was alive. he felt responsible for the 100-year war. This is also totally missing from the show. There is so much about this show I did not like...I really wanted to...I love the original series so much....when the trailer finally dropped I may have seen it 30 times straight. I did love some changes, though. I loved that Ang met Monk Gyatso in the spirit world. That made sense. Visuals, hand-to-hand combat, and bending were not that bad. Bhumis being mad at Aang also made sense. 6/10 from me. Despite this, I am looking forward to season two and I know they will change a lot but I hope they understand the heart of the show and deliver a better season 2.

I personally think it was as good as it could have been realistically. My major gripe was that Bumi was a sad, bitter old man instead of a mad genius but in turn, Ozai's more nuanced portrayal well than makes up for it, and I think that's the thing, when it hits, it hits hard and when it misses, it doesn't take a nose dive. I also like how they managed to weave together the Summer solstice, The Blue Spirit and Bato of the Water Tribe into a coherent narrative, although the Omashu mash-up was a bit... Compared to One Piece live action, Atla is better overall. And if they rated one piece as good then that makes Atla as a great adaption which is wierd how One Piece performed better on rotten tomatoes. Like if thkae the context of mish mashing the sorce into few episodes, there was a lot of lost story beats in one piece where as to Atla they find a way to still kept those somehow by evoking them in alternative scenes. One piece brought out Garp and Koby storyline and AtLa did it for Ozai and Azula. Atla did it better since the addition of these character did not actively cause the story structure to change drastically, menawhiile Garp and Koby caused a lot of the events to play out more differently and caused a entire story beat to be lost. and here I though One piece fans might be less forgiving for the Live action. I guess One Piece fans are more chill than AtLA then. And although I like the Percy Jackson and the olympian, that one is much more flawed than AtLa abut rotten tomatoes give them a better score yes percy jackson is much more lore accurate story beat wise but they are done so underwhelming and the show seems to really avoid action at the best it could.

I have so many thougts on the series. First things first. The addition with the air nomads was great and really emotional. Seeing the sky bisons and the nomads in their glory was beautiful and a great addition. The visuals were great too. Sadly i don‘t know who thought the wigs of Mai, Tylee and Yue were fine. THAT WAS A CRIME. They were so bad it was distracting and not enjoyable to watch. It looked like a cheap cosplay with the worst wigs they could get their hands on. Yue was ruined. Her wig was the most bulky and unfitting thing of plasic I ever saw. I am also still wondering why she got a grey one instead of white. It’s sad beacuse I was really looking forward to Yue. In the serious moments Kataras actress lacked in facial expressions so her character felt very flat and with not a lot of personality. Katara lacked seriousness in the fighting scenes and her face was always the same looking scared or even smiley. Sadly I don’t think the fighting scene against Pakku was great and it looked way too goofy. Katara was weirdly floating around and it didn’t felt real. The special effects were bad and for that much budget I was expecting more. Also there was so much going on in the Spirit world scene that it felt rushed and Koh and Wanshitong were randomly thrown into the episode. Koh also looked dangerous but didn‘t feel dangerous. Showing emotion should have killed Aang but somehow didn‘t. Mai actress randomly looked straight in the camera and the costume made it look impossible that she can really fight because it was so big. Azulas actress couldn‘t deliver the crazy aspect of azula and felt more jealous and cute than a crazy psycho. The bending was very nice done and especially the earth bending looked very cool and destructive. I think they rushed too much in the last few episodes. I was/am a supporter of the ATLA series so no I am not a hater. I just think there are many things they have to fix in season 2 but I know they will do better.

For season 2 if it happens they have to give certain story arcs more space to build the world and get us engaged. This first season was kinda rushed. It was good tho but the story could have gotten some more room to breath. And I hope the younger actors work a little bit more on their acting skills to show the emotions these characters go through a bit better. This was basically the main reason for many who felt the show could have been better. I enjoyed it but I did felt certain things could have been done better. Also in that same episode all the story arcs they added in it made the whole episode feel convoluted. Katara was the weakest out of the main cast. I still like her. Zuko was awesome. Same with Sakka. I think they did a great job, adding a lot scenes from season one into this live action show. The writing was really good. I would give it a 9 out of 10 myself.

I'm not gonna say that this was as bad... That one thing that was made... But other than the visuals of the bending, and the likeness of "some" of the characters, I was pretty let down by the first half of the season. The number of things that were cut out and or reassigned to other characters etc just felt way too jarring. There are moments that are meant to have emotional depth (like Katara taking Aang's hand at the SAT, that was straight up cut in exchange for a somewhat superfluous grand visual of him in the avatar state). The introduction of Azula could have potential, but the early introduction to Mai and Ty Lee left a bad taste in my mouth. The actresses need to go back and study the source material more... They just weren't recognizable as those characters. There is more, and I am hoping by the time I get to the end I will have been able to forgive the early stumbles.. But I am starting to understand, based on what I have seen, why the creators chose to leave the project and that saddens me.

Why did they have to change the way firebenders bend? I hate that the fire doesn't come out of their fist anymore and now comes out of a lame looking "claw" hand position. Also earthbending is so far from what the anime portrayed, it's supposed to be all about the stance and being unmovable yet all the earth benders have horrible stance through out the live action. Not to mention earth bending is primarily leg movements in the anime not arm movements, everytime they lift a rock it's usually with a stomp and we don't see that at all in the live action.
@loganleroy862211 ай бұрын
I can forgive that change. It's probably just easier for the VFX artists to add it in that way. The way the fire looks is realistic enough for me to suspend my disbelief. Earth bending and waterbending don't look quite as good yet, but hopefully it will improve.

Backgrounds: 6.5/10 - But I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of practical sets. I liked all the actors to varying degrees, but none of the many character changes made by the writing. Bumi, Roku, Sokka, Zuko, Katara,... The added flashbacks were neat, though, and the 41st division backstory change was perfect. @surajkhatau829511 ай бұрын
I’ll explain the obvious problem as a big fan of the animated version. Aang learns no water bending at all which pushes his character down, Sokka isn’t the warrior he dreams to be and instead wants to focus on being a “mechanist”, Bumi didn’t share any good wisdom with Aang and they made him seem ridiculous even though he’s supposed to be this incredible earth bender. Katara had her lime light and a lot of focus but the show is ATLA not Katara the Water Bender. Badger mole didn’t teach Aang any earth bending and Aang’s innocent crush on Katara isn’t reflected at all. Basically all these themes and character motivations were wiped away. Also, Ozai likes Zuko more than Azula.. he literally burned his face and Azula is Ozai’s favorite. That drives Zuko and shows his father’s ruthlessness. I think the show tries to make the show “modern” this way, by saying look how the first born son gets special treatment, not letting Sokka fill in his role as a leader, and not exemplifying Aang’s water bending skills to not up stage Katara. If this how shows are these days, it’s fine, but I’ll stick to the originals which knew how to make a balance between characters and gave them their proper arcs.

I hate to say it but 3/10 at best. - Poor acting direction. - Weird editing and pacing issues. - Uncompelling writing / character narratives. Many intrinsic motivations of characters have been changed to external. - Awful costume design, whats the point of adapting to a new medium if you don't take steps towards grounded it in said medium. Using unrealistic materials and synthetic pieces make the characters look like cosplay at best. - GOOD BENDING!!! (seriously) however the action direction wasn't used well with many coordination being lost due to cuts and weird shots. I could go on but sadly there's just 1000s of small issues that add up to a poor experience.

The worst thing of all was the loss of Aang's goofiness and important points of humor. I disliked how they reinterpreted Bumi from being a kind-hearted mentor into a bitter old man. Plot difference didn't bother me all that much, and I think the VFX were great. Note to the writers: MAKE AANG GOOFY AGAIN! We need more humor because we didn't sign up to watch Lord of the Rings. Aang's character requires goofiness and the show requires some humor to balance out the deep, dark, brooding nature of the live-action remake.

The best bending was the first Earthbender in episode 1 then it went down. The Firebenders were consistently good. Airbending was ok and worst when they fly. Waterbending look the worst. The way water moves and shapes the water took and what the bender did with their hands didn't made sense. It looked and felt disconnected. And even worst when freezing people. It looked like Katara was generating a blizzard out her hands when she froze Jet.. Instead of water freezing up.

My score for each episode out of 10. Ep1 7 solid start pace was a little fast but loved the new things they added with earthbending spy and air nation genocide w/ backstory. Ep2 8 Suki is so likable in this. I thought getting rid of Sokka's sexism would ruin the development of their relationship but seeing Suki be interested in Sokka because of his travels was pretty cool to see. Thought it was hilarious watching Suki try to flirt. Zhao was much better written in live action vs original. Ep3 7.5 I liked the way they combined Mechanist and Jet in the same episode Jet would definitely not agree with the Mechanist in the original and its cool to see that in this show. Ep4 7 I knew secret tunnels was going to be added to the Omashu arc of this show its too small to be its own episode but it's so popular it has to be added. However didn't like the new twist on it. Liked the original where the crystals actually did lead the way and badger moles liked music. Bumi was kind of a jerk but I did like the lesson he was trying to teach Aang in the end. Ep5 4.5 Koh stuff was just so strange. He didn't have to be a part of the Northern Water Tribe arc but he doesn't seem like he deserves an entire 2 episode arc. The pacing was weird also Katara and Sokka get captured and it feels like Aang has so much time to rescue him no urgency in that rescue. Ep6 9.5 by far my favorite only reason it's not is because the Koh stuff is still going on. Loved the twist of Zuko's crew being revealed as the same crew he saved in the war meeting. It's an addition that feels like it can fit in the original and that's what we all wanted to see similar to how we see the Ozai and Azula relationship at this time. Ozai manipulating Azula by comparing her to Zuko. Ep7 8 Yue is a little different than I expected. I liked the idea that Pakku tricks Katara into taking someone else as a master and not just outright refusing her from the start. Felt a little more subtle. Also allows Katara to learn healing with a more open mind. Ep8 7.5 cool finale seeing Koizilla was alot more impactful than I expected. I thought it would be a quick 2 min fight but it went on for a good 10 min which was good I just thought it would be tough on the budget. Wasn't a fan of the idea that Aang essentially sacrificed himself to do that and the only way he could come back is if Yue gave her life to the moon. Also really not a fan of the fact Aang has learned absolutely nothing with the other bending disciplines once this season is over. The main reason they leave the Northern Water Tribe is because they're ready for Aang to start his earthbending training but now he hasn't even started waterbending. I guess he's going to stay in the north off camera for a long time training in the north and that'll explain the aging of the cast. But now we're going to see Aang go from never bending Water to essentially a master in the start of S2. Katara will probably also make a big jump also since even though she was called a master she still has a lot to learn. Overall the changes were big for the overall story but they kept the point of why each character is in the story. Jet is still an example of going too far. Mechanist is an example of the exploitation. They added Great Divide, Fortuneteller, and pirates as offscreen stories which was expected but glad they actually confirmed they happened. Sad there's not Jeong Jeong but maybe they add him for S2 or S3. Overall the series I'd give a 7.5/10. And still looking forward to future seasons.

@@loganleroy8622 yeah. Seems like they added in a few plot points from S2 and S3 that they wanted to make sure were in the show but didn’t want to dedicate that much time to in those seasons. They also wanted to do the secret tunnel stuff without having an entire episode dedicated to it so they through it into Omashu (I’m very proud of myself for predicting they’d have Secret Tunnels in the Omashu arc). They also knocked out the Katara mom dying scenes so we may not get a Southern Raiders episode in S3. Also they might skip Avatar State stuff in S2 premiere. Hard to say cause it still hasn’t been revealed how dying in the avatar state kills the Avatar spirit.

I agree with the ratings. I thought the show did a good job without being a complete copy and paste. However, couple things bugged me a bit. Idk if it just me , but i noticed Aang repeats the same old "save the world" blah blah blah line like he captain America or something. Even though we see this on the animation, i dont remember seeing him spam those kinds of lines until near the end of season 2 and more on season 3. Yes we do see aang mess around and try to have fun in Netflix, but it felt off balance with attitude and behavior to me. I thought it was interesting bumi was playing games with aang for a different lesson and reason. With the final scenes we were given at the end of this season, I'm worried they gonna make bumi come off as some idiot rather than the wise old dude we see on the animation. The show made it seem like he lost omasshu trying to fight rather than surrendering. I hope I'm wrong. It felt weird that aang didn't train with waterbending all season. I know they teased it at the end, but if he is gonna do all that training next season, then they should extend the second season longer. Unless they combine parts of book 2 end and book 3 to one season. The rest of the changes though, it didn't bugged me as much.

A lot of people are just gonna hate it regardless. They just want a perfect remake.

Okay I'm only one episode in and I've been responding to people spreading hate... BUT even just based on the first episode, it deserves some criticism. Not as much as it's getting, since people are comparing it to the animation too much, but man they really could have made the first episode better. Paced it better. Written it better. They tried to condense a bit too much. However, with expectations not as high as the original, I did enjoy it. Especially the bending and the dark, serious tone.

I’m hoping we get it and the haters don’t tank the show

If we do get it, they need to listen to criticism. I'm only one episode in... but it is way too rushed. I wish I hadn't watched the original, because it makes you notice all the things they shouldn't have cut out. Even without comparing it, it has its flaws. However, an unpopular opinion of mine is I love the tone. I love how serious it is. How dark it is compared to the original. I'm not a kid anymore, so I actually really appreciate that they took out a lot of the one liners and corniness But some of the writing in the first episode just has me confused. This should have had 2 more total hours I bet. So hopefully season 2 will be a bit longer and not rush as much. Although out of the 3 seasons, season 1 was also the most rushed and oddly paced season. 2 and 3 were much better

No hate but I missed the emotional and passionate katara. It feels as if the young katara conveyed her scene really really well but the emotions and body language shown by kiawentiio was underwhelming. I couldn't connect with her emotions. It feels like she held back her feelings and cared less than how she was in the cartoon. I really hope they continue until the final season bcs the worldbuilding and the details of the plots are just so intricate and visually stunning. I can feel that there's love and effort that went into making the show. Plus the actors can only get better and better once they are used to their characters. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

I hate how they changed Suki's whole personality. And also why did she wash her face paint off?? In season 2 Sokka is not supposed to recognise her!

I hoped it’d be a good show with some bad stuff in it, but unfortunately it’s a bad show with some good stuff in it…

i assume your in the boat with me, i cant seperate myself fro mthe two shows because ive been invested since the day the original aired, read all the comics etc, its too different to add to the lore in any way for me, its literally just feels like someone saw the show and thought "i could do this better" totally abandoning the lore of the universe, what we get from netflix wil not be canon to the show, books or comics, and thats what i was afraid of :(

and thats not saying its not good, just doesnt do anything for me
