So, I gotta say it. I friggin' love that the truck is sooooo clean. Is there any way you can lift the bed off (cut out the entire bed, brace the rear panels) for when you go drifting?? I'd hate to see that super straight bed crumpled.

In my experience if your car doesn’t want to flick and feels like it wants to keep drifting in one direction that represents a serious lack of mechanical grip, which in this case, makes sense. I’m sure those drift spares make it really easy to learn but you might be ready to move on to something grippier.

How to prevent this I don't know, but what I do know is that when stiffening the chassis of trucks they are prone to the body of the truck cracking. In the Toyota world it happens all the time. Not saying it's the same for yours however it's something to be aware of and maybe do some research on. Good luck 👍 Great videos as always 👍

I dont think that will be a problem on this truck. I see your concern but as this is such an oldschool design, the chassis doesn't actually need the body to be able to be driven. If you stiffen the chassis and just plop the body on top, then it should be fine.

If possible try to put more camber on the front wheels, it will make turning while drifting easier. Thats why you felt like it wasnt turning as good as you hoped

Noticed that as well, been so long I can't remember how he set up the rear suspension but that looks like a lot of play looks like he needs stiffer bushings in the panhard bar. (Edit) wrote this before the end of the video)I'd move the front mounting location of the panhard bar to make it as parallel to the axle as possible, even with a larger diameter bar he will most likely still have movement due to the heim joints

Awesome! You must be proud of that truck, so much customization went to it, and it's not all bolt on stuff either, lot of custom welding. For the diagonal bar on the suspension system, I bet just adding another one for the other side would help a lot. For large steel buildings like warehouses etc they will actually use bars that arn't all that thick and form an X on part of the structure and it will stiffen up the whole thing. As a side note, are these tracks available in winter? I think it would be fun in the snow tbh.

Truck turned out great dude, the styling is on point, sounds awesome, great build videos but maybe try getting front fenders and a bed from the 4WD model, it has bigger wheel arches/flares so those wheels won’t touch anymore. Only one thing irks me, those rear wheels just aren’t centered in the wheelwell, just my OCD kicking in don’t mind me 😂

Rear mounted radiators are a bad idea, the only reason to do it is if you don't have enough space for a radiator in the engine bay.

Hey Caleb, I think the whole problem with your flick experience is just body roll. Have a look at the content when you go one direction the whole car goes there and in that moment you try to make it go the other way. Hope you get what I'm sayin'. Great vid! Thanks for the content!

What tire pressure are you running, the rear looks very nongrippy. I would start at 20 psi then go down from there.

To flick it you need more weight in the rear, behind the axle so you don't need as much. I want to see you like cleetus with some phatt slicks (obviously you can't because of the weather, but when you come to Florida you should totally bring some slicks)

Hockey puck the bed to the cab obviously weld on some reinforcements and through bolt it for the inside of the cab the the inside of the bed two to four contact points should stiffen the frame to body roll

I'd say according to the truck body roll, you've too soft of a front spring compared to the back ones, at least it looks like that, It should help you having Stiffer springs in front

You need to shorten the 4 link and pan hard as a drift vehicle does not require much movement. Drag you can have up to 6" of travel for weight transfer. You only need 2" max. Shorten and you will be golden
