Opening out the manifold port to use on a turbo with the same inlet size as production just means the flow will hit a step - it's now going from a larger X-sectional area to a smaller one... The step is going to cause turbulence in the flow, some high pressure zones which will inhibit gasflow... If anything they should've increased the turbine housing inlet port size or done nothing at all.

Yes this engines can hold 400hp at the crank with ez, the record is 550whp to 580whp with a grx 2860r gen 2 and nitrous, runing 10.9 at the 1/4 mile on stock block and transmission
