I've thrown in some small cap value, international, managed futures, and gold to diversify my 60/40, but I think the traditional 60/40 is fine too.

I was shocked not to see Clark but we already know you can handle it all Krista. I’ll be glad when he’s back though just because that’s what I’m used to and I’m glad you had a guest on today that helped a lot thank you.

What's Warren's saying? The stock market is a great device for transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient. Get in early and buy often and the rest will take care of itself.

I lost 50 percent from 2007 to 2009, but have gained over 600 percent since.
Is Clark winding down and they are putting out some feelers for a replacement host? 🤔

$800 is irrelevant. Sell as they come and add to your retirement account.

basic math shows 2% to be a joke assuming it just keeps up with inflation 3% you'd take 50 years to draw down your portfolio if your retiring even at 40 you'd have to wait until 100 for it to be a problem

Good luck only withdrawing just 2.25% out of your portfolio since RMD's at age 73 will be far higher than that.

You're not supposed to buy or keep stock in your employer because you're already over exposed by having only one customer for your labor. Even if it's free stock, if that company sinks, you may lose your job, and having stock in the company is tying yourself to a sinking ship with a second rope. Even if the company does well, it's doubtful that it's stock performance will beat the S&P 500 over time, and you'll wish you had made the switch. Sell it all except for the original share so you can hang up that certificate if there is one and look like a company man. Why not? Giving a free share out is obviously a psychological gimmick to drive higher performance without a pay raise or a promotion, so since you've been dragged into that arena, play that game homey!
