Hey! Great job and nice to get the Canadian perspective. I’ve been vlogging my EV roadtrips around Australia in my new LR 650kmPolestar and have done 14000km already. I’ve found the whole thing fantastic. About half our Tesla stations are open and we already have a standard plug, so there is no reason to get a Tesla, your wife should have got a Polestar - lol. We are getting lots of different EVs finally, including affordable Chinese options, which is great. We are now battling Toyota, Mazda and a conservative opposition and media stopping us from progressing to a Norwegian utopia.

So in the future... We can't have trailers anymore? How are we going to haul lawn mowers and furniture around? As long as enough people buy them to keep gas prices down, I'm good. My nearest legal cig store is 350 miles away just outside ev range and I go once a month. I am cool with EVs as long as it is not mandated and that they still offer us a gasoline options. Most cars are on the used car market and last 10-30+ years. Is that battery in any of those EVs capable of doing that? When buying used cars in EVs 100k miles is the new 250 for gas cars on used car market for the battery life of the car vs combustion engine life.

Step one. Get rich by selling oil. Buy EVs but continue to sell oil. All oil gets burned still.
