I know the visible wound track of ARX or extreme defender shaped bullets can be impressive, but always in the back of my mind I look at the expanded diameter of a good hollow point and know the actual hole created by the JHP is much bigger than that of the 'Philips head' bullets, and is therefore more likely to hit something vital to stop the fight. Good test. Thanks.

I am a believer in the fluid transfer. I carry the xtreme defense in 45 super. 135gr cooking at 1510 fps from a USP. Or 1580 fps from a USP elite. I like them because they don't expand to cause damage. Traditionally 45 JHP average 14" penetration in gel. And 45 super JHP under penetrate because of over expansion. 45 super xtreme defender don't rely on expanding and penetration is the sweet spot 19".
