How did you incorporate Azelaic acid into Tret routine without inflammation?

@@m.younis9849 pretty easily! I find that azelaic 20% helps with my inflamation and redness (though it doesn't FEEL soothing lol). I got my skin used to azelaic first, then would use them on alternating nights. Then AZ every morning. Then Az every morning and one night etc. when I did use them together at first, i waited to use the tret until after my skin and moisturiser dried. Minimal skincare otherwise (I use a layer of vaseline after my tret bc i am insane) Now I throw everything on my damp skin lol. I have eczema too and found though azelaic kinda stung and was itchy at first, it helped calm down a flair on my neck i got from chemicals at work in only two days (flairs last for weeks for me!) I love the azclear 20%, but i used melazepam before that with great success (it's more drying though)

I just bought the Truecica toner, I am almost out of my current one anyways so I don’t feel too guilty. I like my toners to have a lot of antioxidants b/c some mornings I just slap some toner and SPF on, then rush out the door. I love my CosRx snail essence, it was totally my intro to my obsession into K-beauty. It has lasted me a really long time too. On a non-skincare related note, I realized right before I started watching this video that I wasn’t subscribed! I can’t believe I have been watching your amazing videos since November and never noticed. I have definitely corrected that mistake.

I do this routine for almost 3 weeks now (with Corsx products bought from Iherb since I live in france and korean products are very rare here ) :low PH good morning cleansing gel+AHA/BHA clarifying treatment toner+advanced snail96 mucin power essence+advanced snail92 all in one cream ,and the issue is that I don't feel that my skin is hydrated but more dry and like I've put something heavy on my skin ,I don't feel any improvement I don't know if the problem is from the products or from my skin.I was so excited when I bought these products since I heard a lot of good things about them .Can someone tell me if he experienced something like this ?? Or know what the problem is ?

Sounds like you need something more moisturizing on top of the all-in-one cream or occlusive to lock in the moisture.

I looked up the ingredients to that Some By Mi toner and was surprised to see so many fragrant plant extracts and fragrant components 🤔 I wouldn’t expect you to be into fragrance in skincare (not judging- just didn’t expect that). Do you have a video discussing your opinion on fragrance in skincare? I’d like to hear your input. Personally I’m not a fan. That toner would be bomb if they would just scratch the fragrance. Or offer a fragrance free version. Ugh

I love fragrance. I’m really into the sensory aspect of cosmetics that make them enjoyable beyond just efficacy. I’m also very pro-using skincare just because you enjoy using it even if it doesn’t have a benefit. We get so focused on the science elements we forget that we make the products specifically for consumer use and consumption. From a formulation perspective, there’s a huge focus and demand on the sensorial elements of cosmetics: color, texture, smell, feel, finish. I talk about it very frequently in my videos since I point out fragrance and EO for those sensitive to it, but it’s also a quality I greatly enjoy. I also feel like science social media has polarized fragrance and EO in cosmetics and we have to remember that only a small % of individuals have sensitivity to those things.
