Full Sparring Session | YOKKAO Fight Team Faces SVG MMA Academy in El Paso, Texas | YOKKAO USA Tour

With the 2023 YOKKAO USA Tour arriving at El Paso, Texas it was time to throw down with our friends at SVG MMA Academy. Getting straight to business the SVG gym didn’t disappoint as Duangdawnoi’s sparring partners instantly pushing the pace. Pressing forward with punches, ‘The Little Star’ again had to rely on her defensive counterattacks and snapping teeps to keep her opponent at bay. Moving on the Chalawan, facing a far larger sparring partner he utilised his kicks and trademark combinations to get into range and land his strikes… all whilst joking and laughing as he lands his kicks. Lastly, the GOAT of Muay Thai steps in with his ever present sweeps, faints and distracting taunts. Leaving his opponents flustered and laughing whilst Saenchai seamlessly throws them to the matts. Quite a disrespectful vibe from this gym, most fighters going far too hard and lacking respect for much more skilled fighters there to teach them a class (not get punched in the face at full force by them). The stupid coach in the background hyping them all up and offering dreadful fight advice.

The fighters from this gym is so disrespect, going so hard in sparring even though they have a significant size advantage over the guests. You can tell they don't have any respect or discipline. And the coach shouting instructions like this is an actual fight, such a disgrace this gym

I’ve been involved in martial arts for 20+ years. I have no disillusions about the differences between sparring, sparring for a fight, and a fight itself. I’ve seen these coaches spar at other places and simply fulfill the dream of the students there by being able to “spar” with a legend. You can see in these sessions the guest coaches are not happy. This absolutely falls upon the gym and its instructors. Yes everyone held back, but that is not how you treat a guest let alone a legend and his students.

I enjoy watching the seminars posted on this channel and seeing the culture of the different gyms they visit. This is my least favorite. Incredibly disrespectful and ego driven sparring from this gym. Terrible etiquette, and coaching against legends that are there to teach. Seems like they were most focused on "showing off" and not so much learning. Not a good look for this gym, and will avoid when I visit Texas

Definitely not the time to test your mettle, despite what this gym’s coach thinks. I know Yokkao seeks out gyms with high capacity but they really need to research what culture they may be walking into. Insanely arrogant.
