Her son’s mind was warped by being around Richard. She’s right to have no contact. I’m glad that her son helped her to defend herself at least. He’s got much growing up to do! I’m glad that he’s getting away from grandpa.

OP is not a bad mother. She’s just part of a rotten tree (one that can’t even see it’s rotten). OP got her fresh start and deserves happiness.
