Any parents who forge documents to steal and sell property they had no rights to, especially for a sibling who didn't deserve what they got from it. "Family loyalty and unity" in no way justified selling what they did. Olivia deserves to be in jail if she cannot pay her own debts. Gambling debts alone should have her in prison. The OP had every right to do what she did. The parents lying like they did, gaslighting other people in order. Richard and Helen, as well as Olivia, believed that "family" meant that the OP and James (her SO) should "set themselves on fire to keep Richard, Helen, and Olivia warm", and that was totally wrong!! Helen and Richard, by continuing to "bail Olivia out of responsibility," were the ones who tore the family apart. Ricard losing his job, Helen working three part-time jobs, while Olivia refused to be a responsible adult.. all are no surprise. Olivia will most likely end up arrested.. or paying the ultimate price.. over her debts. There is always a point where, when loved ones do nothing to grow, you have to let them wither because they have chose to.
