No. The OP is not being unreasonable. It isn't just about the betrayals, but the fact is that "Amelia and Ryan" took a huge leap without and safety net, which was as bad as the betrayals. They tried to also spin a tail.. while wearing items they "couldn't part with", while asking her for an amount of money that would have put her in debt worse than they were in. The reality was they were still lying, because they would have sold the jewelry if they were really needing the money. The "lawsuit" attempt was the last straw, and the fact they didn't allow a genuine lawsuit didn't stop them, screams volumes. What really is disturbing that they DELIBERATELY conceived a child in order to get their way is the worst thing and is blatant emotional blackmail and attempted extortion. The truly disgusting depart is that they pretended all that time to be a loving supportive family.. and then they did all of that. Those are the stories that are the most unsettling: on the surface picture perfect and loving... but in reality manipulative and backstabbing. The OP is the first woman I have heard of who deserves to spend time with only her cat (Mr. Whiskers), and her work and friends. I wish and hope her all the happiness in the world.
