Picking your wife's side and not even hearing your own son out to see if the story is true or not on something that serious is extremely damaging on the father to child relationship something to me is hard to repair with that type of accusations you can't just say I'm sorry and hope that apology would sweep that under the rug

She was a step mother this is why she was doing this to the OP. My mother is my own mother and has been treated me like the step mother had been treating during the OP's childhood. My father knew about all that she had been doing and tried to make her stop, but he couldn't. My father died last year and the treatment continues. I plan on moving away just to be away from her and all her shit! This story triggered a lot of emotions in me while I was listening to it because to some extent it reminded me of myself.
