I've got you: Meanwhile, Sandra and I have been spending evenings with Emily. One weekend, after Emily went to sleep, Sandra made drinks for us. We talked for hours about our prior lives, growing up, and our hobbies and interests. It turns out we have a lot in common, including a love of camping and hiking. Before bed that night, Sandra kissed me, just once, quickly, on the lips. It was unexpected but magical. The next weekend, we took Emily for a hike and then camped overnight in a big tent Sandra bought. After Emily fell asleep, Sandra and I sat by the campfire a long time, just talking. She thanked me for showing her that there were still nice guys around. Time passed, and Sandra's parents were flying in to pick up Emily. They were meeting Sandra's brother and sister's families for a big Disney vacation. Sandra had a big contract negotiation the next day and would fly out to meet them a day or two later. After they left, I went back to my house to give Sandra space and time for her final preparations on the contract. My house felt empty, and I realized how much I was used to being with Sandra and Emily. The next afternoon, Sandra called me. The contract was finalized and she wanted to celebrate! She told me to meet her for dinner at an upscale steakhouse. I changed into nicer clothes and met her at the restaurant. She looked relieved and stress free. Her smile was beautiful. We dined on excellent fare, and had a few drinks each. She insisted on paying the bill. As we walked out, she asked me to drive her home, since she had more to drink than I did. When we got to her place, we went inside and she kissed me passionately. My own passion rose to meet hers, and we fell into her bed. Hours later, exhausted, we both wondered why we'd waited so long to make love. It was intense and wonderful. She slept with her head on my chest. In the morning, everything felt totally natural. Sandra looked forward to her family trip, and couldn't wait to see the excitement in Emily's eyes when they went there. But she said a part of her wished I could go too. I kissed her and told her that I'd be here when they got back, and to have a great time. Once they returned, I started dating Sandra officially. Much of the time we do family activities with Emily, but we still enjoy our adult evenings, too. I proposed to her last night and she said yes, but wanted to make sure that Emily was okay with it. When I told Emily that Iv wanted to marry her mom and live with them, she got the biggest smile and hugged me tight! Later, she drew a picture on the 3 of us together, camping. Looking back, I never knew that my wife cheating on me would be the best thing that ever happened to me!
