With Allison, Van Dijk and Salah I thought we would finish 3rd or 4th. Obvs still early days and anything could happen but now we are title contenders for sure. The season I'm more worried about is next season- if we fail to keep van dijk or Salah we will fall off. Konate will be Van dijks replacement but is still young and not in his peak with lots of injuries. If they can get another CB who is quality then defensively shouldn't be an issue a long with a good back up CDM for gravenberch. In the attack we will lose goals and assists if Salah goes. Only way I see those being replaced is a midfielder who can score and get an out-and-out number 9. But then again FSG don't like to spend so we will see...

It's Truly amazing and bloody brilliant too how we are playing right now and how well everything is clicking with Slot in charge and the squads response to that. I can't see it as pure luck but as a total master stroke the appointment of Slot. 100%, bear in mind most don't understand English football and it's character. Club will always be before the player's and owners. The clubs are Ancient stalwart representatives of their communities. It always leaves a bad taste to the fans on the ground to have a player make it about themselves. I get talking to the media once, "it's not up to me and I would like a contract it's just right now I think I'm worth more than I'm being offered". Fans don't forget statements like that, and when asked you just say nothing has changed and move on to talking about the team/game. Carra is from Liverpool, he grew up during that era and arguably understands that aspect more than anyone there. As the others were either fell out with there manager, injured, mercenary or didn't reach the level where you could demand a big contract.
