There are many Shias in Saudi Arabia and are Arabs and some from the seed of Mohammad so it is possible that Imam Mahdi can in fact be a Shia however on the other hand when he does finally come onto the scene he could very well do away with both these sects and just call himself just a Muslim no less, which would be the right thing to do. As a muslim which refers to its own sect of Islam is in my opinion a Kahfer.

How does the Ayat you cited show even anyone died? May be you are quoting the wrong Ayat? If you are thinking of 'wafat', know for sure that wafat and maut are not the same at all, and Imran Hosein smartly ditinguishes between the two terms.
