I learned to stick weld from my grandpa that only ever used a car battery in his garage. Try it, promise a car battery is way easier to move around and a lot cheaper than all that you have on the table. I admit what he did wasn’t precision welding. But in a pinch it got the job done.

Most of my welding is 100ft from an engine drive. I'm waiting for us to be handed one of these and an extra set of batteries, especially when we're working in an area where they don't want the engine noise/exhaust. One question is when you're running it on 110V, can it recharge the batteries when you're not welding?

From what I've read the batteries do not recharge while on board the machine and plugged into 110. The fronius machine does have that feature. That said, I have never been impressed with the 6010 performance on fronius machines.

@JT-lq4yd6 ай бұрын
It would be nice. Depending on how the battery pack module is setup, if it is in series, this welder can draw full battery voltage out of the flexvolt batteries at 240 volts. In series parallel, that would be 120 which Milwaukee can't match.
