I think that Melanie had a strong suspicion that they had done something to JJ but I don't think she knew exactly what or where JJ was because the conversation that she recorded when she was talking to Chad and Lori she is really pressing them asking them where JJ is and if he is okay and Lori responds yes he's okay and he's happy but Melanie continues pressing them and even upset Lori by telling her that she feels that she's not walking with God and that she's been deceived and that that's why she's not being protected and also brings up their affair and Lori gets mad and hangs up on her and the conversation ends abruptly and that recorded conversation takes place after the incident that you are referring to when Melanie said she did not witness where he put JJ. I think that most of their friends and relatives with half a brain knew that they had done something really wrong but they just didn't know exactly what or where!

Chad told people his wife was going to die "early". Clearly he was setting the scene for a time in the future where/when his wife would die (this was part of his grooming of people so he could kill his wife in the future without too much scrutiny). He was setting people up, (his followers), because he was grooming them to believe in him as a visionary. That way it would be easy for everyone to accept her death, and accept Chad as a true prophet of God. I'm sure that very grooming extended to his children; by telling them over and over that their mother was ill, they would also accept her death was due to ill health. Textbook cult-style brainwashing over time so when a future event occurs, as desired by the cult leader, the reasons why will be widely accepted and believed by the leaders followers.

Also if you look at the texts obtained by Annie Cushing in the freedom of information act you’ll see that lori was trying to fix Zulema up with David Warwick and then with Alex when that one didn’t work. Seems like that whole group just literally married each other during that last part, purely to protect all the secret goings on. I’d also wager Melani palowskis marriage was initially one of convenience too.

Melanie Gibb all of a sudden can't remember anything? Her best friend's children go missing - then are found dead. How would you not remember events surrounding such an unusual and strange time in your life? She acts like she's had a lobotomy. I saw all of her T.V. interviews and the police interviews at the time and she was quite animated and serious about all of the events that she witnessed. On the stand now she's monotone and can't remember anything. like a completely different person. I bet it's the "church" instructions not to "recall" anything. Everyone is saying that. "I can't recall", "I can't recall". I've never heard that term used so many times in a court trial. These people are so brainwashed and not in reality, it's crazy! Nothing that Prior says or does is going to change the facts in this case! I think that the best that he can do for Chad is to get the death penalty off the table and should be grateful if he's able to do that!

At the very least I'd be asking how the child was the following morning, knowing he's autistic and he must have found the number of different people coming to stay in his home disregulating. Melanie Gibb is supposed to have an autistic child herself. Her lack of concern for JJ speaks volumes. Don't forget, she has said that she and Lori were trying to come up with a plan for Lori to get Kay to take JJ back by saying Lori was too sick to care for him because his behaviour was deteriorating (most likely due to lack of stability in his home environment - they moved to Rexburg at the beginning of September; then Tylee (his protector) disappeared; then she got rid of his service dog; then Chad, Melanie, David, Zulema, Alex, Melaniece, and others were in and out of the house), but then JJ disappears and Lori asks Melanie to lie to the police that he was with her, which she does knowing Lori wanted rid of him and he was not with Kay. Melanie Gibb knows a lot more than she's admitting, hence the refusal to provide a hair sample and hand over her phone to the police.

JJ never woke up as the put sleeping meds in his cocoa. Lori’s hair was found and matched on the duct tape. Alex took JJ to Chad’s where Chad had dug a grave for him, as that was the only thing he was good at. Melanie has helped - but turning against them and providing much need info. Perhaps there was a deal to keep Melanie Gibb free, but not reported. When LV took off to Hawaii with Tylee and her friend- where was JJ?

LV would lose the ssi & ss JJ was paid- hence the money charge she knew how to file for life ins after a death, then cash it in & then obtain credit cards based on the proceeds from the life ins payouts = money laundering scheme. How do they pay it off? They don’t care of that. Then Kay called the cops for a welfare check so LV had to think how can I throw her off but call up my friend Mel. Yet, Melanie - was more level headed and was like sure but you need to come clean w/ me and Lori & Chad would not. All documents of ins fraud were in the car rental in Hawaii… um why dumb on their part.

I'm re watching this testimony because he is trying his damn best to annoy, discredit and implicate her and she is blocking him at every turn. His bullying tactics don't work on her. It's fascinating. I don't like Gibb and l don't think she cared about the children or Chad and Lori's affair until after she realized that the terrible twosome tried to pull her into their scheme. That said, l love watching Prior unravel because he can't trip her up.

Lv would have had to waive her right to a speedy trial. Idaho assigns the defendant a counselor to delve into the defendants total life. One couldn’t be assigned to LV and ensure the right to a speedy trial. In addition, LV gave no words to her attorneys. They only had what the prosecution gave them. Supposedly she did not want to throw CD under the bus. Charles’ death was reexamined only after this mess came down. The Az cops have 2 body cam incidents where Charles is freaking out going to confront LV because he knew she could turn her brother on him - Alex. They are on this platform too. I think CD wanted to get rid of Alex as he understood the dynamic between LV & Alex. Brandon was a way to get more $$ because Lori’s niece understood what LV did to Charles but backfired because Charles changed his life policy after Kay realized Lori stole Charles’ payroll - $30,000 at least, in March. 2019. Alex was sent to kill Brandon, in Tylee’s jeep. Brandon survived police found a connection. Kay located LV because she had still been using Charle’s email / credit cards for money. Detectives were doing the welfare check and there was the jeep that was reported in the attempt on Brandon’s life.

Long and short of this whole case is that Lori and Chad met, they were attracted to each other and decided to act upon that attraction. Once they did he wanted to get rid of his wife and he didn’t want to raise any more kids. Lori wanted to be with Chad (gag me!) and she didn’t want to raise her kids but she wanted their money from Social Security instead of working for her own money. Therefore the kids and spouses had to go. Since the spouses had to go they might as well up any life insurance in play and collect on that. And all of this under the umbrella of religious zeal. Let’s just call it a duck since it looks walks and sounds like a duck and find him guilty and give him life in prison with no possibility of parole. That way he has a somewhat long life to be a little fish in a big prison and then justice will be served.
