I have only just learned of this sinister case and am now here after listening to what is happening in court , two years on. The sheer wickedness of Lori and Chad's murderous plan in the guise of religion is truly sickening and evil. Seeing Kay and Larry sitting behind that creep Chad, totally dumbstruck hearing that awful recording, broke my heart. They were right all along, knowing that the children were in danger, especially little JJ. How they restrained themselves in not leaping across the seats and throttling him, is beyond me! For the record, Melanie was definitely next on their hit list. I only wish she had gone to the police sooner. Our gut feeling is never wrong. I hope with all my heart that all those murdered by this twisted pair get justice.

During the interview, they asked Melanie when was the last time she saw JJ and she said that it was late in the evening when she, Lori, Chad, and David were doing a podcast at Lori's home. JJ supposedly has been with Alex and he came in carrying JJ supposedly asleep. Melanie did not see JJ the next morning even though she stayed the night at Lori's house. Instead Lori said that she called Alex to come get JJ because he was climbing all over the cabinets and refrigerator. For one thing, wouldn't Melanie hear this ruckus if he was getting into so much that morning? I believe that when Melanie saw Alex carrying in a "sleeping" JJ that he was probably already dead and that they were waiting for Melanie to leave before they buried the body. They may have even planned for this to happen that way so Melanie would see JJ and think at that point he was okay. That would also help Chad, Lori, and Alex's timeline and alibi. What also bothers me is that neither Chad nor Lori have shown one ounce of grief that these children were found dead and especially the manner in which they were found.

This witness held her own and outshone him almost entirely throughout this long cross examination. The witness freely admitted that she had told the police a lie, had been used by her girlfriend, was very troubled by it and quickly corrected it by contacting the police. Any jury would believe all she said, a credible witness for the crown.

They believe that a person's body gets taken over by "zombies" which basically means a deceased evil person hijacks your body and your soul can not go to heaven until your body (with the evil spirit in it) is killed. So that's why they killed Laurie's kids (among several other suspicious deaths surrounding them that are currently being investigated), because they believed her kids had become zombies. Also they say that the second coming of Christ is going to happen very soon and the world will end that day, so it is their job to rid the world of darkness and round up the 144,000 people who will join the Lord in heaven. Because apparently there's only room for 144,000 up there. I hope I explained that okay, if you are remotely interested to learn more about Chad and Laurie I recommend watching videos about it, this is one of the most bizarre cases I've followed in a long time.

A couple of things I noticed as a litigator:This guy never seems to be conscious of the microphone. I watched the whole hearing. If he’s an experienced litigator, Covid circumstances or not, any experienced litigator would take note and wouldn’t be so overwhelmed that they would continue to forget about such a basic concept. He poses his questions in an accusatory manner at a prelim. Obviously he’s VERY aware of the camera. Judges make decisions at prelim on the facts presented and the applicable law as to the evidence needed to meet the evidentiary bar to hold a defendant over to trial. This is not a trial, judges are not laymen. Showboating is insulting to the court. Any good experienced attorney would not pose questioning so, well theatrically, at a prelim. Maybe he thinks it plays well on video to potential jurors but it just makes him look foolish to anyone who has any litigation experience. He even asks questions about whether she was told what to wear or say at the hearing. It’s the kind of thing that wet-behind-ears defense attorneys are told to ask in trial until they realize it doesn’t work against a witness that is telling the truth particularly since witnesses are routinely told BY THE PROSECUTION to just testify as to the facts and the truth. This is told to them because the prosecution knows that any witness testifying as to facts has to stick just to the facts or their own case will be in jeopardy if some witness decides to embellish for any reason. This guy is just not effective. He doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing. He tries to suggest Lori played things close to her vest so chad wouldn’t have been told the kids were buried in his yard. Lol. Does he think the judge didn’t remember the evidence of Alex being pinged in chads backyard immediately after JJ disappeared and chads text to his dead wife putting himself in the back yard at exactly the same time. What a sanctimonious idiot.

Carla Ray I don’t think she is evil. She didn’t murder those kids but she was complacent in the cult. Lied to the police to protect the shitbells and if you listen closely to her interviews, all of them. Lori Vallow threatens Gibb overtly after they discuss Tammy's death (see transcript excerpt below) and Gibb does not protest at all which begs the question: What does Gibb know she's not telling? Out of the blue, she (LV) changes the conversation and threatens MG with accountability about the "knowledge" she (MG) has. I'm pretty sure Vallow does not refer to the spiritual mumbo jumbo they preached together with Chad since the conversation at that point revolved around Tammy's death and not church matters. I'm also pretty sure that 'teachings' is code for something else since by now Lori is suspicious she is being recorded. Gibb was already quite savvy about the scriptures and the teachings of their religion before she met Lori so she cannot be referring to those either. Melanie Gibb “No, no, but, you know what? And she did that quickly and is and has done everything she can to make it right. Think about your very closest person telling you that they are unsafe and they need you to lie to protect them. It does not connect with what was being discussed before which was Tammy's death. Also, Gibb did not go immediately to the police. She ignored the calls from Rexburg police (because Chad said so) but did return the call to Gilbert police and lied saying JJ had been with her. That happened on November 26th. She only came clean some two weeks later and only after she had the recording which clears her. And keep in mind that as far as she knew JJ was with Kay having been given freely (the breast cancer story) by Lori. Yet she never asks in any of her contacts with Lori and Chad how on earth is it possible to want to kidnap a child you already have.

I feel like what happened is Tylee knew too much about Charles planned death so they killed her and when Lori was saying that she was going to give JJ back to Kay and Larry ( Lori and chad were afraid that JJ might say something ) and that’s why they killed JJ The series of events had to have traumatized those kids . Justice for Tylee and JJ ( Kay and Larry as well ) This whole case makes me so so so sad . Chad and Lori are INSANE and dangerous . Justice for Tammy and Charles Final thought- chad and Lori didn’t have much money . That’s why Charles was their first target . The million dollar life insurance . ( so they can travel and gather their people ) and this is why Tammy was targeted she had life insurance as well .

Tylee came across as a loving caring teenager but her rebellious side may have came out when her so called mother started with her cult nonsense and as you said, she witnessed the MURDER of Charles. I’m 100% leery when I hear anyone start to attribute demonic power or possession to anyone, ESPECIALLY to a special needs child whose mother has a personality disorder (likely BPD...also more properly called unhealed/unresolved complex trauma) and whose parent or step parent has been murdered.
