Yes, they never wanted to make a decent living on their own. They both were dependent upon their spouse incomes while they were alive, and on insurance and state money when they were gone. And now, they'll be in prisons and live off of hardworking peoples taxes 🙄

Samantha, if you read this, I want you to know your testimony brought tears to my eyes today and you did your sister proud. You gave her a voice. I have no doubt she is so grateful and honored and proud of your testimony today. I am so sorry for your loss. I only have one sister who lives 600 miles from me and I am ashamed to say we don’t keep in continual touch. But your testimony today inspired me to make a greater effort to be in more constant touch with my sister instead of once or twice a month. I pray for you and your family and I pray that justice will be served upon this disgusting man who robbed you all of your loving sister Tammy.

I worked as a videographer shooting depositions for 8 years. Similar rules of not over speaking in depositions so that court reporters can get everything. But you would not believe HOW MANY people CANNOT grasp the concept. They do exactly what you described... speaking over the person telling them not to! Makes the court reporters job so much more difficult.

You stood strong and gave Tammy a powerful voice in that courtroom. We understand Prior’s job, he’s doing it poorly, and that’s in Tammy’s favor, as well as the other people murdered in this case. GOD Almighty will prevail in this case. We are praying for all of your family affected by this senseless tragedy and loss of life. Be kind to yourself.❤

I agree. He'll be sending messages to his kids through their landlord...i.e., his lawyer Mr Prior. He thinks he's still in control and he deserves NO more control. He's already done enough damage thinking he's a Warren Jeffs wannabe with multiple wives (including little girls (Brandon's little girls who were the only kids of his not labelled 'dark')). This needs to stop and no more from any of them in his family or friends.

Even if he gets dp he will have 25 to 30 years before he ever faces execution. Chances are at his age, by the time the date ever comes, he will never be executed. He will die of natural causes or have his sentence commuted to life without parole because he will be elderly and ill or just because that is what typically happens. Going for the Dp in this case is just a waste of money. I’m sure they were hoping for a plea deal.

@nicolettebrown2680 I totally get that, I just don't understand why he didn't advise Daybell to take a plea deal. ( I don't even know if he was offered one). To put Larry & Kay Woodcock and Tammy Daybell's family through this ordeal again, the same ordeal they went through at Lori Daybell's trial, is disgusting, and all kinds of wrong. Selfish pair of bastards, absolutely no remorse, no care given, no humanity.

Even if he suggested Chad take a plea, he can't force him to do it. Prior has asked the judge to be released as Chad's Attorney and this was denied. So under the canon of ethics he has to do his best to get him off. Why he asked these ridiculous questions s about trees and shadows and the number of pets in the cemetery I don't know, but wow he left the door wide open for Samantha to deliver that heartbreaking "Two dead children!" final comment. At least he didn't bring up Melanie Gibb AGAIN.

Thinking of you and your family as you hold each other tight giving out those medicine hugs your Mumma gave out. I give them to my kids too in memory of your mum who lost way too much.

A lot of these witnesses are very damning toward Chad and Prior doesn’t seem to get anywhere with his cross from a defense standpoint with most of them. He asks a bunch of questions that really don’t have any direction and if I was a juror he’s not really placing reasonable doubt in my mind at all.

there are many lines of questioning i'm trying to understand... he must have some intention for when his turn comes around. he's also tried to get multiple people to characterize the cosy cone as part of the garage rather than the house. what does it have to do with anything anyway? he must have some theory to toss at the wall later to see if it sticks...

I'd imagine "Tammy's depression ". was what is called clinically "situational depression.'. The reason I suspect this is because in listening to Chads negative digs on Tammy , the insinuation that he was bored with their relationship Tammy as " vanilla routine " in everything. I suspect that was in response to his gaslighting , harassing and putting her down. The family and all witnesses describe Tammy as healthy , cheerful smart etc. what with running her home, working, running and dancing. The impression is that her "vanilla " is in reaction to her husband and possibly her being put down and gaslit with the apparently talented manipulator control freak who didn't want her to have a life away from what he softly demanded. Also many witnesses from the family and Mormon church; to minimize the importance of women community seems to center completely around motherhood and homemaking only. Repeatedly we hear about steward of the family as the man and the important decisions are seemingly dominated by the men. Where as the gentle women and good mothers comply it seems . I don't hear discussions that are cohesively made. Rip Tammy. Karen Morente

Something that bothers me most during both Chad's and Lori's trials is they are without remorse for what they've done or even regret for where they will spend the rest of their lives. Is dishonesty ever acceptable in Christianity? Man up and tell the truth.

They are not Christian, they are Mormon. Mormon’s follow a doctrine created by a man named Joseph Smith who falsely claimed he was following Jesus (when Jesus taught to beware of false prophets and people claiming to be Him or come in His name) when he created this false doctrine. They are Mormon, not Christian.

@@NothingButTheTruth-en9ec They say otherwise. They certainly claim to be communicating with "the Lord." Joseph Smith was a whack job, along with the rest. But LD Saints, as a general rule, strive to be virtuous. Thus my question about the lack of hesitation on Chad and Lori's part to lie, repeatedly.

@@NothingButTheTruth-en9ec Regardless of your opinion of Joseph Smith, it's bold to claim he wasn't following Christ if he claimed he was and his teachings didn't conflict with Christ's teachings. (If you feel his teachings conflict, please name one.) Anyone who follows and worships Christ is a Christian. Mormons follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, which makes them Christians. In case you weren't aware, the name of the "mormon" church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

@@nikan7704 name one conflict? There is not enough room here for all the conflicts! Jesus never taught anything about "sealings"...He did not teach that only people who are of Mormon or any religion are allowed in "church" buildings during weddings, nor did he teach about about any of the ceremonies Mormons follow. In fact, He did teach to beware of false prophets and of people claiming to be Him or come in His name. I encourage you to put down your Book of Mormon and pick up a Bible. Read it cover to cover at least 3 times through and you will start to see all the lies and contraindications to what Jesus taught. It's what I did and why I feel so strongly about it.

You did your sister with grace. We can only pray that her children see the truth. Tammy's children are very much victims also. They we're manipulated by their father. He lied repeatedly to them. If Emma gets on the stand and lies about her mom's day Friday before death or at all, she too will be killing her mom all over again. All because Chad was a cult leader. Sad

Prior trying to be nice is almost as disturbing as him being mean. “I’m sorry I was doing that too I think I lead her on”. 😅 His affect changed this week. His tone is gentle almost patronizing. Before he would start cross with a saccharine tone but end argumentative. I wonder if he’s starting to lose faith in his client. Doing the job to get it done.

Prior had made much ado about homeopathic medicines and essential oils. I have both in my home, and yet i go to doctor regularly! Chad placed a book on homeopathic remedies at her bedside, he pulled out all her tinctures to make it look like she had taken them that night. He crafted the narrative of her being sick, refusing doctors and using quack remedies. Prior probably believed him until recently. Prior is way softer this week. I bet he realized Chad is a pathological liar and is getting the job done where Chad has the least grounds for appeal.

It sounds like they didn't know. As far as I've heard, the ones who have testified have said it seemed to them like Chad and Tammy had a loving, normal relationship. As many other viewers have commented during this trial, Chad seems to have many characteristics of narcissism. If this is true, well, narcissists are very good at turning on the charm for others while manipulating those closest to them in private, and gaslighting them in ways that make them unlikely to truly recognize or tell people about the psychological and emotional abuse they are enduring.
