And look at that van build wooohooooo🥳👊🏽🥳 I was so looking forward to it because I have that stow away back seats setup in my van also and am just stumped with how to maneuver that bit and then theres DAWN with her video to take the DUH🙃 out of the thought process💗. It’s been along time coming and I’m so very happy for you. I have the same “oven” in my wishlist that was one of my favorites and of course the bed situation🤩 I’m going back to look at that bit again. 💗you jelly bean...One Love🌹💗🌹

@hillsunshine43 Not going to get to all the details in a comment, but basically I have both a residence address and a mailing address. There are dozens of mailing solutions while living in a van. It's just a matter of finding one that works for you. Also, some of my gig economy jobs I had before I was living in a van. You get paid online once you are set up with the job. So if you are no longer at that address, it's not like they know.

Love your attitude and it's really inspiring. I've been thinking about going this for such a long time and finally getting ready for the Van Life after I pay the Van off which hopefully won't take too long. I found a Van that I couldn't turn down from a guy whose parents owned it (One owner) but he didn't need it and is selling it to me. Such a nice guy and gave him a small down payment so he will keep it in his back yard until I come up with the rest of the money. My lease is up in a month (perfect timing) and I've already bought a lot of what I will need for the Van. I'm so excited about this adventure and can hardly wait. I already know there will be problems along the way but that's just life with whatever you decide to do. My rent takes just about everything I have and have been here for 8 years so Yes, I'm ready to go without ever looking back. I've watched hundreds of video's and am getting ideas from them that have been extremely useful. I loved your Van and will subscribe.I won't be doing videos for personal reasons unfortunately because it looks like fun and a lil extra money I could use. Good Luck! Maybe we will run into each other on the road one day. Be safe!!!

You're adorable! And so is your set up ~ Thanks for sharing :-) KZbinr van-dwellers like you have opened my eyes to what's possible. Let me explain: I restored and enjoyed a small 21' vintage Class C motor home. It was my baby, personalized for me in every way, but had to sell it (Covid economy...) and it about killed me to do it. I always envisioned that I could live in it fulltime. If it weren't for my community's RV restrictions, it would have been my daily driver. Fast Forward: Finances improved, we're retiring in 2yrs and bought an awesome 36' fifth wheel for life on the road. It's a house on wheels and we love it but it's NOT the same joy for me :-( It takes a lot of time, preparation and planning to use it. Surfing YT to vicariously enjoy the spontaneity and freedom of travel I missed so much, I became intrigued with Van Dwelling. In fact, became so obsessed that I just traded my SUV for a minivan and am steadily searching for ideas, setups, and recommendations. After 100+ vids, I'm gathering what's needed for a basic setup and am working on it every day. For some, it might be a necessary (but excellent) option for affordable housing. And for those who have other options, they still choose to trick out a van for some combination of housing, savings, work, economy and ease of travel, and challenging themselves, etc. Personally, I'm doing this for my sanity after being so isolated and socially disconnected during Covid for many months and yearning to replace my budget travel options. Van Dwelling can be a smart CHOICE for many different reasons but the common denominator is creating and personalizing a space that works for you. If I were single, it'd be my fulltime, go-to plan. Thanks again to you and all the others who put in the time and effort to share your experiences and what you've learned

GREAT idea about the dirty laundry area! Where to store mine has been a thorn in my side! And, since I have multiple pets, I can place a folded blanket over my laundry bag and it can double as a bigger lounging place along with the passenger seat for a couple of my pets to hang out when I drive! Love it! Thank you!

Awesome van build! You have everything you need. I hope it brings you plenty of joy. I'm happy to see it finished. I've been following your videos from the beginning. We have a few similar things. Have you you tried the "Blendjet" USB charging blender? 😏 I'm seriously thinking about sending mine back. It only really chops. I cant imagine trying to "blend" ice in it. Then again, that's been my experience with it. I noticed you have a Luci light...you mentioned you wanted the one with the USB port...Don't waste your money. It only charges really well once. It did charge my phone to about 35%. You can't get a full charge. Well maybe I was expecting too much. I mean, in a pinch it may help a little. Well that was my experience with it anyway. Now that I think about it...I think it may have been stolen out of my van!!! I haven't seen it in a while. 😳 Then again...you know how Van's can be a vortex.😅 Well, Congratulations! Now that your home is together, you have 100 less things to worry about. Happy vanlife!🦋
@TheDawnofVanlife5 жыл бұрын
Haha, van vortex. Yes!! I am familiar. Thanks for the tip on the USB Luci light! The one I have works great and I love that I can just leave it in the windshield all day and collect it at night.

@@TheDawnofVanlife I've gone through three lights. My first one was about four years ago I lost it because I forgot to bring it back into my van. Total pisser...🤨 I was so upset. That thing had been through hell and it was going strong. The replacement...it's nicer only because it has more ambiance. The USB Luci light is currently missing. That light was a bit of a disappointment. That being said...i agree, they are totally awesome!😄
