This adventurous lifestyle seems so appealing to me as I get closer to retirement. You guys are two of the most honest and natural people I have watched on KZbin. Continue the journey, and always remember the words of Robert Frost: "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference." Safe travels!

From a cat mom who has kitties. If you can wait to feed her till after you come back from your walk then if she runs away you can grab her cat food container and shake it and she will hopefully come back. Everytime I feed my two kitties I yell 'here kitty kitties!" and I shake their cat food bag and my cats come running. Their "treat" is canned cat food so I will yell the same but hit the top of the can with a spoon. Having trained them to come for food puts my mind at ease incase on of them decides to run out the door.

Summers are 3 months of 100 degrees cannot figure out plans yet that can survive both extremes and our house seems to be in the wind tunnel of Owens valley. Proven by the monarchs flew through our backyard in spring for almost 2 hours on the thermal! All unknown just stream camping but we still love it here.

If you are somewhere SE-ish of Reno and Carson…and S of Fallon, then this could be the Carson Sink, then you are most likely seeing the Carson Sink. Not sure what created it but in the back of head, I'm thinkin' it was meteor strike…in prehistoric times it was filled with lots of water and sometimes when the rainy season is out of control, it will still hold some water in the deepest sections, but it doesn't last long. Back in the middle 70's (yeah, I'm an old guy), I lived in the East SF Bay area and belonged to a 4WD Club and we went out there for a long weekend…I don't remember much about getting there and back home, as I was in a 'convoy' (of sorts) and we were really immersed in lots of CB radio chatter. It is one of those places that I put back on my Bucket List to revisit…Black Rock is another area…where they do Burning Man every year…keep it safe out there on the road. - - "Scooter" in East Texas
