Awesome have nephew and his family live in Savanna

Hi Irene, We loved Savannah, GA. We wanted to go downtown in the old section, but the dually was WAY too big to fit anywhere. We turned down one street and then had to back up. Then we went back to the RV and had dinner. Sometimes having a Motorhome with a small tow vehicle is the better option. This was definitely one of those times! :)

Winter weather is always a challenge. That's why God put wheels on RV's 🙂.

You said it right Norman! We learned real quick to chase 70 degree weather. Too hot and too cold have their own challenges. It’s just better to hitch up and head out. 😀👍

Note to self: Carry a propane torch and a heat gun. A hair dry could work but heat guns can have a stand. Or use the electric heater you should be carrying. You have charcoal. In a pinch you could put charcoal in a baking sheet and wait until it is hot and not flaming and put it under the pipes while keeping a watchful eye on it. This will also let your frozen diesel start. Again, a watchful eye. Another option, stop at a farm.They most likely have a propane or kerosene salamander/torpedo heater but you'd need to be able to dump soon after or close the valves and dump the pipe contents into a bucket and dump it somewhere or even dump it back into the toilet. There are usually options to remedy calamities.

You have officially become our trusted source of calamity correction. Love the ideas and love the variety of possible solutions. We are walking through each of them and trying to figure out which one works best for us in the future. I like the charcoal idea. If we can grill steaks, we can thaw poop. LOL. 😂 Pam has put her foot down and said “we are chasing 70 degrees from now on”. No more frozen anything. We will see how long that lasts. We still haven’t been to Alaska yet and that is on our list. Thanks again and love the support. 👍

Watch kids, that they don’t accidentally turn gas eye on climbing for cookies, you guys have a great adventure, like your video’s, just came from out west , winds were brutal

Hi Perry. You said it! I have no idea why they have lights on the back of the RV stove knobs. It’s like a beacon for little kids to come and play with the gas stove. We moved the cookies to the island instead of the stove. Now she climbs the island. LOL. We’re making progress. 😀

What kinda soap did you use to wash?
@discoveryboundrv2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jay! It's funny you asked that. We used the one soap you should NEVER use on a car or RV. We used DAWN! We were total Newbies to Rig washing. For some reason we thought it would be a great idea. We were so wrong. We are now experimenting with different soaps. Some we pick up from RV Shows and others from Amazon. We are trying to find one that has great foaming to it. Let us know if you have any tips. All the best!

It will eat away the clear coat on the RV.

Are you leaving the black tank value open all the time? You never leave the valve open for the black tank open.
@discoveryboundrv2 жыл бұрын
Hi Larry & Cindy. We completely agree. No, we never leave our black tank open. We sometimes leave the kitchen Gray #2 tank open when we do a lot of cooking and washing dishes. But that is just during the day and then we close it. Great tip and thanks for sharing.

Hi Larry and Cindy. We just realized that our video never answers why our pipe was frozen solid. It was actually the Grey #2 handle not being closed all the way and the dishwater filled up the tube. When we closed it, it didn't completely seal. We needed to push the handle harder. Then it dropped below freezing. We didn't know until we went to dump at the dump station the next morning. LOL. Everything on the RV breaks at some point. We just laugh and keep going. :) Safe Travels.
