@Bob Bigboy Bob, Iowa was favored to win 133 and got defaulted for 6, for a swing of 9...and Iowa's coach got dinged for 1. That's a 10 point swing that it should have been in Iowa's favorite. Penn State is great, but lets not skew the reality.
@AhPhoey5 жыл бұрын
@Bob Bigboy So Heavyweight would swing 6 points in Penn's favor while 133 would swing 9 in Iowa's favor, Hall was favored to win....165 was a toss up....141 Murin was injured and could have kept it closer...Iowa had a team point deducted.....So many things. Yes, going into to it I knew it wasn't going to be a blowout, but I felt if both teams were completely healthy, Iowa would win by 6.

Brands is a tough guy and tells it like it is. He just stated that DeSanto quit on the team and could have completed that match. He might have been hurting a bit, but it's clear that he wasn't injured. It came down to him not wanting to be embarrassed and get teched in front of his home crowd. As Micic said, "maybe he isn't used to getting his butt kicked." He embarrassed Decatur last weekend but didn't want to be subjected to the same feeling. The kid needs to grow up. I am not hating on him because I wanted to wait on what his coach would say. It's clear that he put himself above the team.

@@paulmalfara6071 i agree with most of what you said, but i'm confused as to what you mean when you say. "last week's hall would have given him a different match." are you just saying that anything can happen from match to match, or is there something i'm missing. also i don't think ryan slamball is saying hall is overmatched against bigger guys, just that when he has close matches it's against big, strong guys like bo jordan, zahid, myles amine, etc. the difference with zahid and kemerer is that they also move really well. both were elite lightweights in high school that grew into bigger bodies.
@paulmalfara60715 жыл бұрын
@@hoopsmccann639 Of course I'm saying that things happen differently week to week. Hall decked Labriola last week, in case you weren't paying attention. He looked really strong and impressive, much different from this week. Hall may be vulnerable to the Carver Hawkeye Arena magic, who knows? He has not performed well there, and this week wasn't a great match for him. I look forward to seeing him and Kemerer go at it again this year.

anyone else think that Desanto took a dive, watched that match 4 times now and he limps and then doesn't limp and then limps again. On both cradles , there was no pressure on the knee joint, he knew he was locked up and going to see lights. They say he's autistic and if that's the case, a small injury could have fucked up his thinking but he was doing well on that leg ~ ~ ~ except when RBY was cradling him up. Iowa fans should be happy they have a good team, just don't count on him when the chips are down.
