Great review Taylor. Some upgrades to consider: An articulating hitch that makes the connection to your SUV more secure, quieter, better off-highway, and harder for thieves to steal. Top brands are LockNRoll and the Max Coupler. A couple deep cycle lithium cells to replace the lead-acid battery. You can run your power for a long time. Add a connection so you can connect your solar panels to charge the cells. Also it looks like you need at least one table and there are mounting brackets that you can add to the side of your camper that will hold a table with a fold-down leg(s). There are also 12V powered coolers that can run off the 12V battery system or 120V shore power. Dometic is one of the top brands.

We bought a Runaway RangeRunner a couple years ago and it has been a blessing for getting us out to see our beautiful country. We've camped in 8 states so far! This year we traveled for 14-days and everywhere we went from the Indianna Dunes along Lake Michigan down to the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL was 90 degrees! We were glad we upgraded this year with an 800-watt ecoflow river 2 series portable power station and a dual zone SetPower 12-volt fridge/freezer. The power station wasn't enough to run our air conditioner for very long in that heat, but it was enough to keep our fridge going and a CPAP at night for a couple days at a time.

You can do a lot with that Bushwacker, modifications are unlimited, if you do any backcountry travel like off-road I recommend installing a little lift kit it really helps and you can put bigger tires even more ground clearance you can easily install an exterior shower I do recommend on the very front underneath You will see a piece of exposed thin plastic I don’t know why they did that but it will rip I fabricated something and sealed it so it’s totally waterproof and the lower trim the black piece on the bottom of the body those screws come out I recommend tightening all of them and make sure you get the ones behind the wheels and put silicone on the screw that way they don’t back out I’ve gone through 3 foot of water crossings and I’ve had no issues it’s really a great little camper I love it, if you carry a small generator you can run the AC unit a 2000 generator works great and literally cools down in five minutes and the heater works awesome👍

That was great, Taylor. Good to see you so happy and back with your AT Clan doing Trail Magic. And, they got to meet the famous “Nahamsha Hiker”, too! That must have been a treat for them, as well. The icing on the cake in this vid, tho? The fact that you had a portable jump starter when your car wouldn’t start! 👏 Girrrrrrrl, you are always prepared!!! 🤣 It’s amazing. Glad you had that, too, esp. towing the baby (and I don’t mean the Camper)! 👶👣🍼 Congrats on yet another job well done. 🥾🥾💫🧚♀️✨Trail Magic! ✨🧚♀️💫

It's a miracle we had the jump starter because we usually keep it in the other car! There was also no service at that parking lot so it would've been hard to call for help 😬

What a great starter family camper. I see that it has jacks on the back. If it doesn't have any on the front, it will make a world of difference to pick up some at Walmart or online. That and wheel chocks are a must to keep it stable while moving around inside. Also, I bet those nice Jackery solar panels would lay nicely across the top of your camper while camping so they don't have to keep moving and take up your campsite space.

A timber board that’s purpose made to fit on top of the sink is a great way to get some bench space to prepare food. Have it with a small hole in it to easily remove it when you need to use the sink !😊

I highly recommend getting an electric cooler! We upgraded to electric last year and it's just been so great - no ice management, no water making your food soggy, no worrying about getting more ice, etc. And you perfectly control the temps - we keep one side as a freezer, and one as refrigerator. It doesn't take a ton of power and something like a jackery can keep it running for many hours. They start around $300 for a typical cooler size. highly recommended!

I have to stop watching your videos! Every time I see a video there is something I want to buy! Last time it was the orange Nahamsha hat, now it's the portable fire pit. This would work great camping with the grandkids. Usually the wood you get at a campground is wet wood. The kids never last long next to the campfire. By the time you get it going, they're done! It was great to meet your baby and see your new store, a couple weekend ago. You guys have a beautiful baby! Congratulations P.S. Enjoying my LMNT

I use a Big Agnes Hinman self inflating 2 person pad on top of the mattress in my Casita. Probably a similar size to the bed in the teardrop!

I will save you some trouble: get a new mattress or mattresses from Hest. They are only about four inches thick, but you don't bottom out in them, even if you are a side sleeper. They stay soft, even when it is cold out. They have an R-value of around 9, and you can get bedding that fits them precisely.

Get an Alpicool or Iceco fridge and run it off of your Jackery. They are about the same price as a nice cooler (Yeti, Engel). You can recharge the Jackery off of the solar panels, of course, but you can also get a DC to DC converter to quickly charge your portable power station from your car engine. There are some great videos on You Tube by Jasonoid, Tinkerer's Adventure and others about DC to DC converters.

Fun camper trailer. Would seem to meet the needs if you are looking to trade out of a small tent camping to an arrive and camp not having to be concerned with setup & take down. Plus add a little more security to you property when you day hike away from you camp sight. And it is cool looking. ❤😊

Nice video. That is a very nice trailer. Is the tow vehicle rated to pull that trailer? My 99 GMC 1500 is only rated at 2000#. Can the solar panels be set up on the roof for their safety? Have you tried the spare tire, lug wrench, and jack? You may want to get a portable camp toilet. It makes some situations much more comfortable. Use a lock on the hitch to discourage theft. Have a safe trip. Good Luck, Rick

I’m glad you all are enjoying it; it’s Nice but waaaaay too small for a family of 3. Having owned RV‘s my entire life I would highly recommend a little bigger RV with twin axles. Single axle rv trailers are not great for many reasons.
@jeremyray19255 ай бұрын
For those of us who are used to small tents, minimal gear, and want to be outside when we're camping, these small teardrop campers that we can pull with our fuel friendly daily drivers are the cats meow. 🐈
@ccarter29195 ай бұрын
I am an avid backpacker as well. I would just recommend a little bigger rig with dual axles that could still be pulled with a small SUV. If there were just the two of them, I would not be saying this. But for a family of three, you have to carry a lot of extra things and need extra space. Spoiler alert: that baby will grow up quickly!
@jeremyray19255 ай бұрын
@@ccarter2919 yep. mine is 16 now and as is typical with teenagers, wants their own space and pitches a tent as far away as the extension cord will reach! 🤣

@jeremyray19255 ай бұрын
You mentioned that you haven't looked into insurance yet. Yikes! Please make sure you protect your investment and your family. Please also be sure to confirm your vehicles towing capacity, and find a scale to make sure sure your not exceeding your limits. While a vehicle may be able to pull something doesn’t mean it should. You don't want to get into an accident and discover you were at fault because you exceeded your vehicles capabilities. Be safe out there.
