I loved the prayer at the end. I think this was an awesome conversation. I can only say that I believe this was part of God's way of expressing the blessings of the MAGA movement to an engrained democratic false hope. That Pastor obviously has a good heart and wants the best for people and yet he is so under informed about the current Administration that he sincerely believes they're doing what they think is right for the American people. I'm a Christian who has black and white family members and every one of us was raised indoctrinated Democrat but changed our stance when Hillary Clinton ran. Because by that time it was clear the liberal aspect of the democratic party had become radical instead of embracing and hopeful. We've been taught the Republicans are staunch conservatives who want to control the economy to their own interests but we can now see that MAGA is different from the Republican party; it's a movement for the people and it has risen up from a need to bring the country back to the people. I don't think any intelligent American of any color or Creed can look at open borders, unliving babies at birth, allowing trafficking and drugs to pour in, and a hostile takeover by its own government as a positive approach to the betterment of our country. The current Democrat Party Time and Time Again has stood up and called not only Trump but his followers Nazis and fascists in races with no proof whatsoever instead of telling us the difference between their policies and our policies. We know from childhood this is how bullies behave, not how intelligent leaders who have our best interests in heart behave. So I pray that those who are blinded for whatever reason to the truth will have their eyes opened and vote to restore the Constitution and the simple right to pursue the American dream. That means voting for a man the national affiliation of Faith leaders has called God's anointed choice - Donald Trump and all those intelligent caring people who are working with him including RFK Jr, JD Vance, Ben Carson, Elon Musk and all of these intelligent Christian minded individuals ready to use their own clout, money, and education to restore us and get back to a point where we can focus on these real issues, as Vance pointed out. Because those are the real issues - how are we going to empower and enrich our future Generations. ✌🙌🇺🇸❤

Plumbers, electricians, Diesel mechanics, those who work on more advanced vehicles, builders, oil rig workers, gas frackers, coal miners, computer techs, heavy equipment operators, underwater welders, and welders are all good jobs. More physical than doing office work but there are those who cannot sit in an office all day. It takes us all with our varied occupations to keep this country running. I’m glad for all of the training our country has, all of the colleges, and Universities, all the Trade and Technical schools. Again it takes us all in our varied occupations to keep us going.

JD Vance is good. Pastor, you screwed up big time for checking JD Vance. I believe the best way to move this country forward is to be color blind and only think about humanity and not black, brown, or white. Telling JD Vance to keep it respectful, after you mentioned “the first black woman president” is self deprecating.
@SILSpring28 күн бұрын
I don't care about the color of anyone's skin, I care about the content of their character (MLK). I live in a small town and our neighbors are Black, White and Hispanic. We all get along and respect each other. Whatever skill we have we help each other. Your lawn mower doesn't work someone mows your yard, until you can get yours repaired or replaced. The snow comes down and we are out shoveling snow for the seniors. Your car has a flat tire someone is there to change it for you. Our gardens have abundance we share with our neighbors and visa versa.

I thought the pastor did a good job and gave a unique, substantive and fair interview. I’m not in the community so there may have been things I did not pick up on. I think the guidelines that he set made it so you could have attended that as someone not planning to vote for Vance and still felt comfortable and like you got something out of the conversation. Someone mentioned the pastor seeming like he had a chip on his shoulder…I thought he was very fair and to whatever extent he may have e strongly disagreed or had some very different views then I think he deserves twice as much praise for doing all of this and inviting Vance
@ruanavailos425326 күн бұрын
"Color-neutral" would be a better way to put it. Skin color doesn't define a person's character. Race doesn't give someone value. Of course, I'm not blind to the color of a person's skin, but I don't judge him/her by it. For me, skin color is a "neutral characteristic" (for lack of a better term). Neither good nor bad. It's innate and has nothing to do with who you really are.

The solution truly rests in JD Vance’s thoughtful proposals: school choice, job creation, lower income taxes, and reducing administrative waste in schools. Recognizing that states can’t increase property taxes on those without jobs or homes, JD also suggested federal funding for church-based childcare-a creative approach to support families. His insights were spot-on. It’s unfortunate the pastor was too narrow-minded to consider these solutions. JD’s ideas are forward-thinking and practical.
@amyjohnson583925 күн бұрын
Absolutely. I wish he would have spoke about families as well. Some in the black community can talk about this but maybe this isn't a church or group of people you can. But 70% of black kids grow up with no father present. If you want black communities to be strengthened and children to flourish in school, you have to get fathers back home raising their children. Kids needs 2 parents. It's one of the biggest things affecting the black community. This should have been addressed, but I could understand why JD didn't bring it up.

Wow, I was so impressed by the Pastor's vision that every church has the opportunity to be involved in educating children. Imagine that. I also think the success children experienced at the pastor's own church further confirms JD Vance's conviction that parents and grandparents should be given the choice of where to send their children to school whether public or private.

Candace Owens' deep dive into Kamala's Irish-Jamaican ancestors and relatives has revealed that she has not a black bone in her body. Her family OWNED a plantation with 1,200 slaves. But that's not the point. Even if Kamala were as black as you can be, that's no reason to vote for her. This is a woman who unscrupulously abuses power, breaks laws and lies without hesitation. She proved that in California and as VP. Such a person should under no circumstances end up in a new position of power.

I agree. I don't know the man but he's either a liberal pastor or a genuine Christian who is being misled, judging by this conversation. I mean no disrespect either, but I don't understand how a follower of Christ could affirm Harris, regardless of political party. I have my opinions regarding Trump, but I voted for him and Vance because they're fighting for the people, not the current administration. It's my hope that this pastor sees that.

This is the kinds of discussions we need to have. Kudos to this Pastor for bringing the education discussion to the forefront. We stopped caring about our own, and worry too much about anything else.❤ At no point was JD disrespectful about the issue brought forward about the school lunch finding, so he sadly showed his complete bias. You are delusional not to see the hypocrisy is your comment towards him. The current administration has been more focused on extra curricular issues that should be kept between the parents and churches/pastors, than the actual need for education. You need to call it as is.

This Pastor will not be voting for Trump. It is clear. He spoke so lovingly about the first "black" female president and totally defended the Democratic party when JD told him how they threatened school's food programs if they didn't allow a certain agenda in their sports program. I was shocked that a man of God is ok with that as long as the first "black" woman gets to be president. That's identity politics and not really caring about his flock. It's a shame.

29:00 Harris is one of the worst examples of or maybe BEST examples of identity politics. Skin tone and biological sex matters very little over against character and love of neighbor. Harris has no character, lies constantly, awful tract record, and constant mocks and maligns ALL PEOPLE, who are not just like her and her friends. Identity politics is poison and we should FEAR God's wrath because of it and not praise him for it because GOD SHOWS NO PARTIALITY, how can we?

This was a really good meeting to hold. The questions were good and JD Vance answered the best he could and did well. I was, however, struck with a negative impression because when the pastor announced him, he did not stand to greet him. That is universal politeness. And when it was over, he also did not immediately stand to shake Vance’s hand as other hosts would always do, and when he finally did stand up, it felt awkward and embarrassing, as if he totally forgot all manners. I had wondered the whole time, never having seen him before, if he was an invalid or handicapped or just rude. He seems like a nice person, so perhaps he’s uneducated in the matter of customary manners - or if he is, then it was rudeness and showed his bias without him saying a word. Must have felt very awkward to Mr. Vance.
