Beware of the solar panels coming away from the van. It happened on my Renault Master on its first trip. You have to abrade the back of each panel and clean off with solvent before using the CT1 or sika flex. Also they need bedding onto polycarbonate sheeting to create some airflow as they overheat in the summer on a dark van. And this leads to failure. I know cos it happened to me. 50 years a tradesman and still learning !

@@vanvistas Hi, i live in the south near the city of Nuremberg but I have been this summer for a week in North Germany on the camping area of Schelling. Was a very nice place to be, we were driving a lot with ebikes but it was definitely to cold for a swim 🥶 So we decided to drive down to Italy and stay in place called Castiglione della Pescaia. Lovely place to swim with fantastic clear and warm water... Love to come one day to UK, I've been working and living there 1978-79 in London and then in the 80s in Wiltshire near Bath. Have a lot of good memories from that time and met a lot of beautiful people there... Take care and have a lot of good driving with your van👋

Not because is a girl but by far the more complex video step by step ive seen so far.. Seen over 100h of tutorials and tips to renovate my 1987 caravan and they all either lose 30mins in the simpliest detail and make it a 100h series or is 10min video where from minute 05:00 to 05:10 it goes from having nothing to have the insulation process done 🤣. This video was very interesting to watch, everything crafted by hand to a high standard. However, I would like to know if there was a manual giving instructions especially about the electrical set up And how to power the batteries as I am sure that not everyone who attempts to do similar van adaptions is going to be aware of how to put it all together so that everything works safely. Perhaps you can suggest how you learned to do some of these specialist technical details. Great video though.

Hey! That’s so exciting and I’m beyond flattered. I never really drew everything out in perfect detail, I sort of just went by eye and trial and error as you’ll find straight lines don’t seem to exist in a van 😅 I’d start by decided what you want in the van and getting the measurements for those, taping them out on the floor and figuring out what space you’ve got left. I learnt everything from KZbin and Greg Virgo’s videos on the electrics were particularly helpful for putting my mind at ease there

Great work… and what a magnificent result. A 5 STAR 4 wheels home. And now enjoy your travel. Question; do you know the weight of your Van? Have a beautiful day 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Thanks so much! I don’t know the exact weight and I would be interested to weigh it at some point, but we have friends who have weighed there’s and been just under and I know ours is much lighter. Another positive of the extra high top and the roof being fibreglass is the extra payload
