I always used to paint then glue together, how can you paint an axe with detail when it’s so close to everything else, I would make it look a mess, just don’t see how you can do it, especially th extracts and rubber on the wheels. Any tips?

Ian Kendall This is good advice. Do that wherever possible. I prefer to paint them separately though: wheels, tracks, tow cables, pioneer tools or whatever stowage. The final texture and the finish it's also involved here ;)

Great paint job, beautiful work. One minor note…. (not being rivet counter) you put the exhaust shrouds on backwards, the cut out goes to the outside, not the inside (why do I know this? Almost made the same mistake myself! ;) )

It would have been ok if he had also cut away the zimmerit on the chipped areas. That's what is usually done. Hopefully next time.
