I can understand why he might be shocked and probably thinking "oh my god how can we care for 2 babies?" People feel that way even when just finding out they are pregnant. You are excited and then you think "oh god can we really do this?" Then you get excited again. Probably even worse with twins. It's really hard raising multiples
