It is greed and insincerity that is killing Nigeria. I wonder where there are taking the money to. Most of us was praying for Dangote refinery to come up, its here now saboteurs will not allow. Shame on to NNPC. Una 4refineries no work, private person comes in and you're frustrating him causing Nigerian pains. God will judge you aĺl.

That's simply to tell you that there are some unscrupulous elements at the top who prefer to keep Nigeria in status quo because that's where they make their own profits. As long as their source of dishonest sources of ill-gotten wealth stays intact, they don't care if the whole country dies away of hunger. The greatest enemy of the Black Man is nobody else but himself.

@@oghenekarooghenebrume534 how can his price be higher,do you know that the marketers source for dollar to pay for their business and pay for transporting the product from foreighn countries and add the whole thing to make up price for a little we are made to buy. Now dangote dont need to buy dollar to make payment, he doesnt also pay for transporting the finished product from europe or malta, this and many other advantage dangote have over the marketers, so how will his 1 litre be more expensive or high, as far as i know we are still playing.

More so, there are 2 other major refineries under construction, the 200,000 bpd by BUA in Akwa Ibom, and the 100,000 bpd by Mid Oil in Lagos. The private sector is already taking over despite the fact that the Cabal and their cohort NNPCL are trying to frustrate them.

If we had responsible leadership, this ongoing back-and-forth with NNPCL would be unnecessary. Why do NNPCL and oil marketers insist on continuing imports when Dangote can meet domestic demand, in clear violation of the NCD Act? Why is there so much secrecy around the crude prices sold to Dangote and the refined product prices for NNPCL? Instead of being an obstacle, why can't NNPCL support Dangote and drive progress? And why are petrol prices rising almost every two weeks? There are so many unanswered questions, yet nobody is addressing Nigerians about this confusion. Is this government truly serious?

It’s equally important to bring on table the issue of AFFORDABILITY of these PRICES. Particularly, as it affects a FORGOTTEN segment of our population. I’m referring to millions of “senior citizens” in their sixties and seventies earning LESS THAN N15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) as PENSION. Government should confirm this from the PFAs (Pension Funds Administrators), and act urgently to ameliorate the plight of these VICTIMS OF THE PENSION ACT.

The oil market is deregulated in Nigeria. Government cannot force marketers to buy more expensive petrol when a cheaper option is available.

I think it’s now easy and possible for this government to reintroduce subsidies by reducing the prices of those crude oil that are to be sold in Naira now unlike when they were being sold or bought in dollars and subsidies was a serious borden to the government. They can resume subsidies indirectly from crude oil sales between NNPCL and local refineries, like I said, the subsidy is possible now that it’s being sold in Naira to alleviate the hardship on the citizens.

If one barrel is 100 dollar, for example, and you sell to Dangote at 170,000 Naira per barrel, what is the there for Nigerians to celebrate? It doesn't make sense to sell crude oil that will be used by Nigerians at the same international price , whether in naira or in dollars. If you do, do you then expect a taxi driver in Nigeria who buys fuel at the same price with a taxi driver in US or Dubai to charge the equivalent amount per drop, with that of US or Dubai taxi drivers!!!!? That will be over N12, 000 per drop of not less than 2 kilometers!!!! This tells you that the pricing regime by NNPC is shady and insincere. Nothing lasts forever.

The Nigeria media and political actors over focus on price. If pms is refined in Nigeria and sold for 1 million naira per liter will the Nigerian worker that works in the refinery not get paid? and will taxes not be paid?

Igbo people ehh, they usually complain that the other citizens don't like them, but how can you love who hates you and always looking for your fault and want doesn't like any good news they see

What stops our 4 refineries functioning? Have you ever wondered the "Cabal Monopoly" of taking crude out and re-importing back as PMS with other petrochemical products left behind? Have you ever wondered who has been benefiting from these. Billions budgeted to NNPCL yearly with no single drop of oil refined? It goes beyond your thinking and opinion. You need to be holistic in your thoughts.

Liars! How is it that NNPC is a private company and still is a government regulator? Also, who are the marketers and who are their staff?
