President do not influence policy it is to safe guard reserve, head of state and pardon criminal. Halimah did not pardon anyone on death sentence. Not only luck. Picking Ng Kok Song as a pretender PAP candidate will boomerang on Tharman. This mistake will costs Tharman dearly. Voters will give Ng Kok Song a miss but Tharman also and will gravitate naturally to the people's president aspirant Tan Kin Lian. The PAP deserve it for not playing it straight.
