Great video!! As a public service advisory for folks considering the VX with a TR-1 (3 cylinder) engine, elevation plays a big part in the performances. Mine, a VX Limited TR-1 eng, does 7800 rpm / 51 mph on glass / low wind at sea level with a 160lb driver and 2/3 tank of gas, and 7000 rpm / 43 mph (same conditions) at 4500 ft elevation. Super disappointed with the later, since that is where we keep and use the unit. If I had known this, I would have purchased the HO (1.9 liter) instead... Arg!!

Excellent video! Covered a lot of info! The only other items that I’d like to know are is there a bilge pump and how tedious is it to pull out the battery to trickle charge it over the winter. Other than that, great.

No pump from factory. The battery is very easy to remove

great. this makes me almost just want to cry. (please read it all) back in 2015 (im born in 2009) my dad had a 2007 yamaha vx-cruiser witch really loved even more than my dad himself. anyways lets skip all the drama and my dad left me and my mother in 2019 and took my brother away from me and my mother in 2018 and sole the only thing that i loved (the 2007 yamaha vx) and sold it to a dirty place in egyptian marina where i gets rented and destroyed more my idiots everyday. also i really like that joke at 12:13 because i was the one who was forced my my dad to tie the boat to the trailer every time we need to get it off or on the trailer lmao. but eh. i just but the rope from on top of it and the little hook under the water line at the jet's front. edit: holy hell the seat is two damn parts now?? edit2: THEY PUT A FUCKING BOARDING STEP? you have no idea how hard little me and how much time it took little me to board from the back or the sides.

Reprogram. When you reprogram the numbers use the numbers in your registration or a multiple of it. You will never forget it!

Just bought two 2023 vx’s with this motor. I have the worst time checking the oil level in them. The manual states that you need to do it on the water. How do you check it when they are in for service? Also, they only have 5 hours on them. The oil is so clean it is impossible to see on the dipstick.

Just make sure the unit is level when you check it, that's key
