What does Australia have to do to start competing with and beating the AB's consistently? I love the AB's but it seems like we've had the wood over the Wallabies for so long now. Some of the results, even in the last 5 years have been seriously lopsided. I don't see any other option then Michael Cheika at the moment either.

Stansla Michael I'm talking about a consistent Australian side. Last 5 games between each including Sat night total score is 197 - 90. I agree that a better Australian side is beneficial but i don't think the wallabies have been consistently matching the AB's for some time now. Since the AB's regained the Bledisloe in 2003 AB's have won 33, with 2 draws and the Wallabies winning 6. Seems pretty lopsided to me...

True they have been woefully inconsistent after last week no one would have thought they would come back as strong as they did. I think the worse thing to happen to Australian Rugby and their downfall was when Michael Cheika was made Coach of the Year ahead of Steve a Coach that won back to back World Cups. I really don't understand this press conference. This was an AWESOME performance by both sides. The Wallabies might have valid point that they should have held on to win with 3 minutes to go but you could just say that Reid had more desire in that contest and that's an area they need to look at. Cheika focuses on an incident involving Retallic and suggest the ABs get preferential treatment WTF! seems to me he always has to do this instead on looking at the outstanding performance by the Wallabies against a strong ABs performance...

I'm a kiwi, I never want to lose to anyone especially Australia, unless you are from NZ or OZ it's hard to understand the great sporting rivalry our 2 countries have across all codes. This Australian coach has got to be the most arrogant and least humble coach world rugby has seen. I have rarely seen him say "well done all blacks" after a game like this, but mainly mentions the poor decisions etc. By contrast Hanson seems to always find time to mention the opposition in a good light. Hanson is not perfect either; but I think aussie rugby would do well to find someone else.

Then off the back of that series the AB's hit the ground running against a rusty group of Wallabies that had been thrashed in the super rugby in their respective teams. Since the end of the first half of Bledisloe it's looked pretty even to me. But this is the All Blacks, man. They almost lost on their own turf. Geez..you know..maybe Hansen isn't the guy to take the ABs to 2019? Just askin' the question... Cheika on the other hand doesn't have the trophy cabinet of an ABs coach, but he is developing a reputation for getting rather ordinary rugby players to mix it with the best in the world.
