Great sound and value. But surely Full Compass could have figured out a way to get the sound out without so many adapters??? Looks like TRS-to-XLR, then XLR-to-XLR L/R splitter, then XLR-to-TS (maybe TRS)-F, finally some standard TS instrument cables?

Just one more question - there is no L/R stereo outputs like the CT-X5000 - though you can input to an amp or mixer via the headphone jack - does this jack provide the same audio input signal as the CT-X5000's L/R (or even just L mono)?

Do you get sound when you play it, Sir ? If you do, then there is a different way, If you don't hear sound while playing it then, try this :- Go to the Set (function) option, near the Num pad, (with arrow keys) scroll to Speaker option, and press enter, now there will be an option to turn the Inbuilt speaker Off or On. make sure its On. If you do hear sound when playing Keyboard, Then tell me back. :) Had the same problem, first day i bought myCasio Ctx8000in, 2 years ago, But now i guess I am a Intermediate :)

Some of my pupils own PSR 463 Yamahas & they do not recognise 'on bass chords' which are essential at Grades 6-8, so I bought a CT-X 5000 as a teaching instrument as all the CT-X range do recognise 'on Bass' . It is so good that I now often Gig with it in smaller rooms in preference to my PX 560 . IMHO there is no comparison with a PSR 463 , you need to go way further up the Yamaha range to get close !!

@@HubertEtAlice, The CT-X 700 & 800 lack the extensive Voice, style & effects editing facilities of both the CT-X 3000 & 5000 & also only have basic recording functions whereas the higher models have full 16/17 Track sequencers, the relatively small increase in price between the 800 & 3000 in IMHO makes the choice a no brainer (The 700 also lacks a pitch bend wheel, essential for Grades 6-7 & 8.

@@HubertEtAlice The CT-X 3000 & 5000 also have far superior amp & speakers than the 700/800 ( 6 watts/15 watts RMS per channel 3000/5000) v 2.5 watts RMS 700/800 & crucially it is also nigh on impossible to balance the layer/split volumes on the lower models. You’ve got an USB to device port where you can connect an USB me drive from which you can read any MIDI song. By the way, you can also read and UI WAV. files from the stick so that you can arrange backing tracks for your performances in church,

@jokeyman2943 2 жыл бұрын
The shame of it is this-several Casio arrangers already had a full drawbar mode and I have one of them the XW-P1. These don't. Several of the more pro-oriented Casios have both midi din and usb connectors-this one doesn't. Without getting into that debate most of my pro keys and modules need midi din and I had to buy a midi host box to connect my non-midi din usb computers and equipment to keys like this. and Casio stopped producing the MZ-X series, but with the PX-560 is still available-probably their most advanced instruments-both have hex layers, and this one doesn't. And yes, only 61 keys is fine for many things, but not for real piano technique-which also exists in a very fine design with many of the privias already as well. I would be glad to upgrade any of my pro equipment or even the best Casios, if Casio incorporated all these features into a true workstation-and since Casio is now capturing, in addition to the large hobbyist and newer musician's market, many of the working pros, its time. They may be...there is a new Casio something being released in January 2022. many of us are hoping for a combination MZ-X, PX560, XW-P1 with a pro-level piano keyboard, maybe as a 76 or 88 key choice, and even 61, plus the AIX sound source and possibly even a sampling capability-look up the old PX575, it has the ability to load wav samples, and even has a key-mapper which works well I have that one too so they know how to do this. Casio has all the hardware for any number of keys, release a choice of all 3 key designs, with "big boy pants (or skirts)" and Casio will now be a "big boy/girl whatever we are calling everybody now....
