You know Peavey Vypyr VIP amps are awesome when they are still kicking ass in 2020..just look at the Vypyr Pro 100..it has TransTube analog technology which no other modeling amp has...I've been a vypyr fan since 2014 and look forward to the future of Vypyr series amps

Very, very, very nice demo, explanation (hereunder especially the bybass mention of how the video mic is placed) Furthermore (never been to Full Compass site before) is it not nice to see a set-up where the demonstrator do NOT have to bend over and down because the Amp is place on a floor . . oh, yes it it . . and the mentioning of the amp's possibility to receive bas-guitar or acc. guitar signals in the beginning also right from the start point out the vesatile of the Vypyr. I've used the Vypyr 30 watt for 10 years. This amp they went way way way crazy. I'm a guitar player. NOT a bass player nor a Acoustic player. I like the ORIGINAL VYPYR GUITAR AMP.

According to the manual this amp is made for pasive electronics but an electric active bass can be used, Do you recommend keeping using an active bass through it?

Probably if you use the dpad to make it not as over driven and" hot" but I usually like running active basses into the louder input

Is there a regular wah? I can only find the auto. I got the sanpera 2 and love the pitch shifter effect but I'm kind of shocked I can't control the wah.

Yikes! I had a question, and clicked onto the comments. I haven't looked far, and say Yikes, because of the 1st few comments, about such things as being a vacuum cleaner salesman, etc... Anyway, my question (only at the 1:08 mark), is for clarification, as to the comment, referring to an "analog circuit". What do you mean by that? I know it is a bit of a stretch to refer to electron tubes, as being something "analog", but I think that is what is implied. As I understand it, there are no vacuum tubes in these amps, so..., my question being, how/why do you cite an analog circuit? I do own a '30', but haven't used it yet, and do hope for the best, fwiw.

Why cant Peavey print an owner's manual in English instead of a CD which is so difficult to hold pages for reading the instructions. In the absent of printed manual please do a video on how to create patches and save them for use with sanpera 1 foot switch.

That's a great question! The owners manual is what we say "Lame" (which means useless). I like the amp but, Peavey has issues with explaining how to use it. They should tell people that you need a PhD to operate the thing. Lame! Lame! Lame!

Hi, I just purchased the Vypyr3 and used it at a gig. I found that volume at 40% or more, the sounds distort and amp sounds like it is choking. I was unable to play the rockier sounds and I am very disappointed. For a 100 watt amp, I was safe at about 30 watts and then it is a horrible sound. Anyone have this problem

It's because it's a 42 watt amp. Says so on manual and near power plug. Vypyr 1, 20 Watts VYPYR 2, 40 Watts and VYPYR 3, 42 Watts. WTF Peavey!?!? Can't get them on the phone to explain the discrepancy.

@@richpostma Peavey customer service sucks! The guy I spoke with was an idiot. I believe they hire the dumbest people on earth to explain a complex amp. My VYPYR 3 sounds great, but I want to learn more about the variations of the amp. Maybe I'll write my own manual. It'll be better than the one they issue. I'm sooo glad I have my Fender Champion 100 for my main amp. By the way, two weeks after the warranty went out, I had to put it in the shop. Good amp and terrible and a terrible company doesn't know how to print a useful manual.

@@fullcompass thanks for the advice. great guys up at peavey however shortly after our communication oct-10 2018 my house in panama city took a direct hit from cat5 hurricane micheal destroying our entire house & most of my lifetime worth of gear. without feeling too sorry for myself,,, only a couple electric guitars, elements of an obsolete PA survived. as for the vypyr-2 only the speaker & sanpera-2 were salvaged. 2 years being homeless finally settled at the space coast & dilemma is now do i try & buys a used VIP3 & pick up where i left off?
