This was an extremely great thing for me to get, this was filmed on Sunday in Warwick Farm. The trucks come everyday to do these bins, and it’s a rare occasion to see this truck. The legend driver, Luke, did my bins when I was 4 years old in the old S03. He also did my bins in the waterfall SPAK (SL734) around 8 years ago. Thanks to Nick the boss and also Luke for letting me film and enjoy the great experience. A lot of more varied content will be coming from me! Thanks for watching.

Great video mate, really cool to see another video of these PendPacs. Funny that this is a American body with a European chassis working in Australia lol Pretty cool that you got some in-cab footage too. Gotta say though, how much god damn horse manure is in this area lol Are there a lot of horse ranches in this area or why? Almost reminded me of the LA manure route with all these lines of bins. Thanks for going out there in the rain to document the truck, hope there is more good stuff to come 👍

Plenty of horse shit because of the racecourse and the stables. This gives a whole new meaning to the horsepower of this truck.

Well, what can I say? While I have known about american iron running around down there, but this takes to a WHOLE other level. Pendpacs are already becoming hard to come by on our side of the ocean, so to see this, this truck of all things running in Australia is Fantastic! The DAF chassis (as I have yet to see another Aussie truck on it) is icing on the cake here. I'll admit seeing this being ran so slow is disappointing, but with common sense and with what you said, I am not surprised at all. I do hope, given the circumstances, this truck remains in service for years to come. and while I usually don't do this often, I have to thank you for tracking down and filming this truck.

I never thought I would see this in Australia and I am not sure that we need it. Does this lifter have a higher weight limit? What other benefits does this truck have which are better than our trucks? I enjoyed this video and I find this truck interesting and I think there can be a healthy debate in the comments without giving a nasty or negative comment that is not constructive. I think you have been very lucky capturing this truck and I am happy you shared it with us. Thanks Daman.

Doubt it. There are very only a handful of American trucks in Australia, just a few of these PendPacs. There used to be a lot American trucks in Australia in the past (1970s and 1980s) like Heils, Lodals, Maxons and Dempsters but that‘s a thing of the past. I doubt more American trucks will make their way to Australia since Aussie trucks especially the SLs are just better engineered. I also doubt Aussie trucks will make their way over to America since the collection system there is so different. The Aussie trucks aren‘t great for 96 gallon bins, the hopper would probably overfill pretty quickly. Aussie SL compactor mechanisms ahave been tried on American trucks like the Pendlum packer on the PendPac and Wittke Crocodiles or the Paddle packer on the McNeilus Automator and all three didn‘t really take off in America since the hopper would overfill fast (especially on the McNeilus Automators). There are only very few cases were Aussie/European garbage truck makes (I‘m writing them as one since they share a lot of similarities) made their way to the US and all of them failed due to different reasons. One case was the KUKA Rotopress which was sold for a while in America by Orby in the 1970s and was trialled in New York, however while in Europe it‘s still one of the most popular RL bodies, in America it never took off. Another case was the Edelhoff (later Faun) Easypress which was sold for a short while in America by EZ-Pack but that never took off too. Only case of a European body make being popular in America was the Heil PODs which you might know. They where designed by the German company Edelhoff and Heil was the licensed builder for the US. They where predominatly used by WMX.
