The ergos on a bike like this has to be 10x more comfortable than on a sports bike , but stop revving it and short shift it as its more of a turbo diesel performance, than a sports bike. Takeoff at the lights is where the sweet spot is . And no , you wont be scraping knees around corners either 😂

These aren’t bought to ride on asphalt adjacent to a beach, they’re bought to ride on the beach. Disappointing you couldn’t even find a gravel road to test how well it performs to its intended use. Safe riding.

dude, brembo brakes on this bike are one of the best features yamaha put on. Very good and strong brakes. Also do not mention in one sentence tenere and GS bikes....which will fail on you in a second.
@sparkme1238 жыл бұрын
The issue you're experiencing with brakes are because of tires, the off-road bias really does effect the breaking because of the lack of the contact patch. Cheers
@PetterIvarsson9 ай бұрын
I agree a bit but I tried road-tires on this bike and the breaking was not significantly better in my opinion. I think I will convert to new fork and lighter wheel with single disc as some people has. Cheers.

I have the chance to buy one here in the uk o5 model very low mileage. Coming off a vfr 750 worried i will find it abit gutless but i never us the vfr to the speeds it can do . Cheers Neil.

Couldn't watch much that music made me want to throw my phone into an oncoming truck. If your going to do a review of anything don't have music destroy and overpower what you have to say. Almost sends a message the music is more important. So it's a big dislike from me

Great video, but I'm pissed off that we don't have this tenere in the US. It's a great bike for riding to work and riding the canyons. This really sucks!
@queenslander9543 жыл бұрын
Tenere looks great , but it’s little brother XT660R is a even better choice being almost 30 Kgs lighter .. that’s huge in motorbike terms.
@PetterIvarsson9 ай бұрын
Yes, selled the XTR for a Z and for gravel and smooth single track I like the R better mostly because of the weight.

Don't be fooled, trust this Yamaha XT660Z rather than royal crap enfield Himalayan...,you find good used ones , nice bike.
@pedroriding7 жыл бұрын
Good video, but i have to say i have one, and i totally disagree with you about the breaks. May be your bad feeling is related with the front tyre being a dirt tire!? Or the stock front suspension being too soft. I actually think the breaks are one of the best features of this bike.

because being a bit top heavy you can flip the bike much easier at speed. For off-road you just don't fill full tank and it's no longer top heavy :) After owning it over year it is the best handling bike I had so far, on and off-road.

Fukn oath andrew!! Wicked review and it's good to see the shop on board. I have a feeling Yamaha Aus could be soon too but will see ;) If I have one comment it's the music at the start was a bit full on with your voice. Probably choose more ambient stuff but that's just coming from a non-professional POV. It wicked to see you cracking the 10k+

I am thinking to get a tenere. If i would get it, i will ride it on asphalt mostly. Do you think ,that tenere is stable at 150-160 km/s while riding on it ? Also, does it be affected lateral winds? Have a good riding
@FULLFACEVLOGS7 жыл бұрын
Hey, Should be ok at higher speeds although it might encounter a slight bit of head shake at the very top end as for the wind, It will catch it a bit but should not be to bad considering it's weight.

@FULLFACEVLOGS8 жыл бұрын
it is quite tall You do get used to it though!
@V4zz336 жыл бұрын
I am 6'4" and I love its height in traffic as I can see soo much more of the road and traffic ahead of me. The wide bars make it really controllable but there are some situations, where you can't pass between the cars in front while other bikers can pass.;)) Oh yeah, it will drink you under the table if you use it in a heavily congested area, and the speed limits are 20mph, 30mph, 40mph... these speeds are just not for this engine. If you live in a metric country, then you'll be fine with the fuel consumption.
