Fun fact about the town Mei ends up in: It's called Youswell and it features multiple times in the manga (to the story's benefit). First, yes, it's the town the Elrics helped by exiling Yoki, returning the ownership of the mine to the people. Then, in the manga, Mei is actually introduced arriving in Youswell and saving people from a cave-in with her Alkahestry, instead of just showing up out of the blue with Scar & Yoki. This also sets up the plot in this episode, where instead of the town being overly nice and helpful, they help her because they already know her, and her turning around makes more sense because she has an established connection with these people that she knows are in danger.

@@houseofaction No. Alex is a more skillful fighter as well. Even without Alchemy, Alex is stronger. Alex is known as one of the best hand to hand fighter in this manga/anime. By far the best fighters are: Wrath, Ling, Alex, Scar...Izumi. Olivier cannot go one-on-one against any of them.

Fair is fair, but regarding Al and Hohenheim… you can't dictate how Alphonse chooses to treat his father, anymore than you can Edward. You can have your own opinion on what Van "deserves", but the reality is his SONS are the wronged ones - by the same token, it's their prerogative whether they forgive him or not, how they treat him and whether they regard him as their father or not. Note that Ed never dictates to Al how he should treat Hohenheim anymore than vice versa; they have their own opinions on the matter, but they've never actively argued about it. I'm only piping in because, not unlike the Scar issue it's not the audience's place to project their feelings onto the characters; in that matter, neither the Elrics or Winry choose to forgive Scar (anytime soon, if ever), but they still handle their thoughts on him differently as pertaining their individual characters and philosophies. On Hohenheim, while elder son Edward (who is the more tempestuous of the two) also remembers his father looking "cold" when he last saw him (which along with bitterness over Trisha's death, makes him scorn the man), the more mild-mannered Alphonse is more willing to let bygones be bygones.

FMAB time, and it's time for Greedling to change sides I don't think we've paid much attention to Bradley's ass JUMPING RIGHT INTO IT Ling does like jumping out of windows... Ah the Armstrong Family, you can see where Alex gets his glorious facial hair from 'Your bloated muscles are worthless without a spine' is a killer line though, Alex was doomed from there. Older sisters man, they'd never let you win. Yeah, they're gonna have to send in a lot of repair trucks to fix that mansion Your girlfriend is right there you know? To be fair the danger is part of the attraction Fun Fact: The town that May turns back on is Youswell, the Mining Town Yoki owned before Ed uncovered the corruption and returned the deed to the people. This is extra significant, since the 03 Series used this episode to introduce Lyra, the 03-only character, who shares a VA with May. She is like 12 years old and doesn't want all these nice people to die To be fair to Ling, this is literally the only place in Amestris he knows how to get to from Central, after Hawkeye drove him there with Gluttony. The only other place he could go in Amestris but Outside of Central is Rush Valley and he'd need to take a long train ride for that. The message was Ling telling Lan Fan that he obtained the Philosopher's Stone, but he left out the part that it was stealing his body That is kinda the point, because he is Greed he can never be a subordinate. 'Follow Him' he says moments after he was telling Greed to 'Leave' The allusion that there is a slight Timeskip happening in the next episode We get some fancy espionage action from the military guys, always good to see people being good spies. Part 5 is where ALL THE SHIT GOES DOWN Outro images to depict the passage of time and planning until spring Please, there's plenty of time for salivating action Catherine is the youngest, you saw her before, she threw a piano at Yoki Al doesn't really resent Hohenheim like Ed does, he was too young to understand what was going on, and too kind to hate him as he gets older I took it as that Ling was shocked at the idea of the whole world Rebecca is new, unless you watched the OVAs where she appears on 'Simple People' It is 1918 guys, not many laws of that criteria for Rebecca to lawsuit Butcher's, the word you're looking for is Butcher's 'The coming Spring' what do you need a month and hour? Spring and Autumn have Equinoxes and Summer and Winter have Solstices, simple balance

They usually up the frames per minute, and put way more detail and time into each frame of animation. Sakuga style animation is usually used for major fights, or other plot important events, like a battle, or an environmental scene, or for other scenes where the weight needs to be felt through the animation on the viewers end. Some shows are nearly all sakuga, like One Punch Man, and any Ufotable or Kyoto Ani show. Studios that have the big bucks, and some of the most talented artists and animators in the business. Studio Bones is also very good at showing it off as well. Like they did in Brotherhood.

Alex could absolutely beat Olivier in a fight. The problem is he isn't actually willing to hurt his sister (hence the fact that he never once uses his alchemy), whereas Olivier just doesn't give a shit and will happily hurt her brother as much as it takes to get what she wants.

You might not have noticed this, but Armstrong's family was the one that appeared in Yoki's backstory. The giveaway here is the youngest sister. While I agree May shouldn't have come back, considering the events that happen in several episodes later in the series, it's good she came back. When you look at the previous Greed now, the reasons as to why he left the others become much more clearer. His wants in life don't exactly line up with Father's. Lastly, Rebecca is voiced by Jamie Marchi. Take a few minutes to look up her roles in anime, it's worth it.

アニメではユースウェル炭鉱の回は丸ごとカットしてるから、ここアニメだけ見てる人だと理解不能だよね ユースウェルはその後のヨキ活躍やメイがエドを探し始めた理由や、メイがアメストリスに残る決断をする理由などなど、重要な伏線がたくさん描かれてたんだけど FMABでは脚本家が重要じゃないと判断して、エドのユースウェルの回もメイのユースウェルの回も飛ばしちゃって、突然ヨキやメイが登場して、この回を迎えてしまう（少しだけ振り返ったりもしてるけど…） ユースウェル以外にもちょくちょく伏線を書き逃してるところがあるのがFMABの唯一残念なところ
