That abandoned tent in Coldridge used to have a dwarf there you had to go deliver a letter too. He then sent you on the the next quest hub after you hunted some boars for him.. you can still do it in classic.

Oooooh good catch! I hadn't considered that, but it would make sense. I still think it was likely just a World Designer placing items they thought made hte most sense, but my headcanon is now that they're just reclaimed items from the Second War

Every MMO should strive to be what the original WoW was... It made you as a player feel so small, just a tiny piece of a much larger and complex world. You should always have to fight for relevancy in a true mmo, but there should be details everywhere reminding you that the world has it's own history & culture

Everyone remembers about Newman's Landing being used as the spawn zone for Alliance players, but my favorite part of it back before Cataclysm was how it wasn't tied to any zone. Standing in Newman's Landing flagged you as being in an Unknown region, and your friends could even see your zone placement as blank. It was a fun way to baffle your friends who didn't know any better, and fit the "No Man's Land" side of Newman's Landing.

There is an easter egg in Tanaris I always liked, and it actually connects to the The Shimmering Flats in the Thousand Needles zone. It is a rocket ship that appears to have come from the mountain and crashed into a hill, but in the shimmering flats you can see the skid marks and point where it entered the mountain. I am fairly certain this is referencing the beginning of the movie The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, where Buckaroo Banzai is testing some new rocket and crosses dimensions allowing him to go thru a mountain and come out unscathed on the other side.

Fun fact, prior to Cataclysm, the Ironforge Airport was actually still accessible on land. There is a way to wall jump in Loch Modan. Furthermore, this also allows you to 1. Stand on Top of Ironforge Gates prior to Azeroth flying. 2.Get to Wetlands(Menethil mainly) by jumping and using a slowfall or glider. Extra:You can actually head straight to IF from the Gnome starting area. The hill behind the tech garage to the northeast. Once you get there climb a hill, jump to a small hill with a tree and you are now on the glacier thats on IF mountain. Simply trek upward from there.

No darkness, no horror - nothing at all ;) two dwarves with a mortar is also a reference to Warcraft 3 - they are the same models, that are used for a mortar unit for Allience :) Also it is a shame that you haven't speaked about old Ironforge in classic. The amount of secrets it contained! It would be great to see your video about Barrens. So much little stuff there!

17:34 it's a small detail, but the painting on the wall was part of a set of early WoW wallpapers that have been distrubuted on CDs through gaming magazines back in the day. I looked up the art in its glorious 1024 x 768 resolution and it was made in 2001 and must have been early concept art. I remember it because I used it as wallpaper myself back in the day. A great piece that shows mystery and scale of what the game would eventually reflect.

Love these it's like vacation destination with remember when...speaking of remember when, does anyone remember back in the day the Beginning, when we were able to shoot wolf Debs to collapse them and stop the quick spawning of wolves? It would come back of course but it gave you some time to skin if that was your trade. Anyway just hit me. And this was any deb or brood layer for spiders or anything that came out of a rocky den all over the world. I don't think they do that anymore. Edit to add: Watched the whole thing, very thorough very nice job thank you for these. Back when we first could fly on our mounts in that area, was that WotLK, anyway, on the outside of IF on the front way up and on it's right side was a window you could go into and it was a room with a bed fireplace and a fire, books on a shelf bear rug a small table and chair with like meat apples cheese and a mug full of I guess ale. Your toon could also access the rest buff in here. Anyway I used to go in there as my dwarf hunters private room. I never saw anyone else in there when I'd log on or off. It was fine I doubt it's there anymore. Also I do not know this for sure but it made me think of the apartment that's inside the Disney castle, so I thought maybe this was WoWs version. It was a cool little spot. Like the cave behind the waterfall in SW lol OMG I just remembered there used to be an alligator a huge old elite in the SW waters under the bridge of valley of heros.

The leper gnome talking about tadpoles may be a reference to Jack Handy's "deep thoughts" series. Iirc, he once recalled a story about a relative that made a carnival wheel and would spin it around declaring "tadpoles, tadpoles is the winner". It was his way of describing a crazy person.

Yea, that was some of the best feedback I got early on in these videos! In later ones, I add a more obvious motion graphic. Apologies that these earlier ones don't lead the eye more quickly!

AH, good catch! You know, I try to do all of the quests in an area before I do these Secrets & Easter Egg videos so I don't go over things that players will definitely be sent to see, but I somehow completely missed that quest

@@FullMotionVideos Well it is in Classic WoW only. However, if the quest was in your quest logs after the Cataclysm it could still be shared and completed. It leads you to that very dwarven shooter and mortar team that you mention in the video.
