One very good reason the SD card slot is located in the glove box is that the glove box locks when the car is in Valet mode, preventing some valet parker from temporarily removing the SD card. If you ever valet, it's a good idea to review the last 2+ recordings as soon as the valet guy returns it. That way, if he was hot-rodding it or whatever, you can state your case right then and there. FYI, the Soler throttle controllers have a "Valet" setting of their own that prevents the car from being driven any faster than necessary to parking-lot maneuver and park. You can get those for about $220 independent of whether or not you even have a PDR.

We are making a trip to road Atlanta and relative’s house this October 10, -12 then Tail of the Dragon North to N. In my 2024 it appears that the option of overwrite or not has been changed. I have not do so yet but I'm guess it just assumes overwrite mode.

I tried it and it DOES NOT overwrite... it just says the SD card is FULL. Also, I formatted the card in the 'vette and it cannot be read by my iMac... I can see the videos in the car but not on my computer. 😞 Now trying with NOT formatting the card.
