I want you to know how MUCH I appreciate your instructions for crocheting! I'm 63 years old (almost 64) and I have always wanted to learn to crochet. I've tried to follow videos but they're usually too fast or unclear. I don't learn very fast, never have. Your videos are so incredibly clear and helpful. I cried last night when I was watching your video on making the Lost Souls blanket. I CAN DO THIS!!! :) Seeing exactly where the stitches need to go, what the stitches are called and everything that you show I'm going to be a crocheting maniac now!!! :) :) :) I will be watching and following along with your videos from now on. You are AWESOME!!!!! Sorry to go on like this but my mom used to crochet, and I always wanted to learn but she would go so fast and talk so fast in giving instructions I couldn't keep up, I just gave up. I haven't understood written directions either, and your instructions just made me so HAPPY!!!! THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Ok, so I made 4 of these, following your exact steps but with ice yarn, the Picasso one. Attached them into one giant square from the outside in, leaving 25 stitches (including chains) unattached between each square right in the center. attached those loose middle corners of the squares with 2 slip stitch straps and made a flowy, tunic style tank top. 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you so much for your inspiration, and thanks to Maryetta for her original work, too!

I was following along with these tutorials and fell asleep . Woke up thinking it was the next day . To explain I have trouble sleeping more than a few minutes at a time . But when I watch your tutorials or listen to you read the fabels I always fall asleep . Your voice is so soothing to listen to . So a great big caffeinated hug goes out to you for your tutorials and for helping this tired old woman sleep for 5 to 6 hours at once .

You are fantastic at instructing. I realize I’m a couple years late responding, but your pace is perfect. You go the exact speed I need to keep up, and while I’m grateful you don’t go through with crocheting the 3rd and 4th side, you still point to and count out the stitches required to finish the square. Breaking time stamps by row is helpful too. It’s been working out perfect for my instruction needs. I’m pretty new on KZbin. You’re my second follow, but your my first place teach. You’re fun to listen to as well. ✌️Patti W

I can’t thank you enough! My granny taught me how to “double crochet” when I was 12. Until we were quarantined all I could do was some wobbly scarves and MAYBE a small crooked blanket! Lol. Patterns have NEVER made sense since I am SUCH a visual learner. Your Chanel is my new favorite!! You make everything feel VERY doable! You make sure we can SEE the stitches and you explain and count very clearly! I feel like anyone from beginner to expert can learn from you! THANK YOU for giving me the confidence I needed to make something of this caliber!! I can not WAIT to make something for my granny!! Xoxoxox

Some years ago, my niece posted on Facebook a picture of the lost souls shawl and said she wanted it for a baby blanket. Her mom said she wasn't doing it for a baby and she said "Aunt Tami will if I ask her". I confirmed this and she just told us Wednesday that she is expecting so I have until February. Thank you for posting this pattern. I have done many of your patterns for gifts and whenever someone on any of my crochet pages asks for patterns for beginners, I have three people I suggest and you are one of them. Your explanations are always clear, detailed, and easy to follow. I'm planning on doing it in a charcoal ombre since I we don't yet know gender.

I started with the basic shawl pattern, thinking I could make all the necessary adjustments, to make it flat, but after I got through Row 15, I discovered you'd already done all the hard math work for me. I'm not only impressed, I'm subscribing. And I'm absolutely thrilled, because now I can make that Lost Souls snood I really want, in orange because it matches my hair. I'm working with size 10 thread and a size 5 hook. Now all I have to do is figure out how to make the square into a circle.
