Happy 4th Timmy, one suggestion on the wood floor is to alternate the seams, so you don’t have a straight line going across the room more of a random wood pattern. House looking great.

I agree. If the seams aren't staggard, they pop eventually, and it will be a huge mess to deal with.

Amen! I don’t like telling folks how to do things but they desperately need to be staggered. Not only for strength, but it just objectively looks so much better staggered.

On your floor you must stagger the end seams or it will buckle up and cot you a floor i always do a 1-2-3 ft starter boards them the xut offs will be used to fill in other end

The birds are seeing the reflection of the foliage and crashing, they make a film that is non reflective for the outside and it'll help immensely.

You have to stagger the floor joints. That floor will buckle up on you if you don't stagger the joints and you will be replacing that floor soon. Love your videos by the way!!

House is looking great floating floors not supposed to be attached to the floor plus did you read the instructions and see if you can have a continuous seam I’ve laid 100 miles of that stuff and I’ve never seen it run like that. I hope it works out for you. You might have trouble in the long run.

Loving the flooring but I agree you need to stagger the seams The cool thing about the flooring you have is that it looks like reclaimed barn wood,stagger the planks as if they are long planks of an old wood tree.

I admire your work ethic. I laid the same pergo flooring at my house. May be too late but you should alter the lengths of the boards.

Please do not lock down the flooring. Even with trim. Those floors are meant to “float”. If you lock them down you run the risk of bowing as the floor changes temperature. I learned the hard way.

Yes what is with the joints always stagger. Also laminate flooring like this sucks it always swells when it gets a drop of water on it. Even though I hate it, he should’ve went with luxury vinyl over this crap.

@@TruckHouseLife. Stagger your boards on your starter wall Cut some at 2 ft 3 ft etc. you don’t want all your seems at 4 ft. The floor needs to all lock together. Think of a comp roof. You don’t want any end seem to be in the same spot. Love the channel. Your killing it

That wood looks fantastic. My parents had their new home lined with wood all around the house rooms and it was fantastic... Stain worked well on it.. Brings out the woodgrain and seals the wood after Varathane

Looking good Timmy! I usually alternate the seams when I lay floating floors but if you like that seam running evenly across the floor than have at it. Really cool design for a house! That rooftop deck with that view! Wow!

A bit of advice for moving heavy appliances across the floor take a moving blanket fold it hotdog style put appliance on it and pull the blanket with your arms.

Been installing hard surface for 40 years. You need to stagger the flooring. Otherwise it will all unlock. Now if you're only doing a square for the fire place cool. But the rest of the floor I would suggest you look at instructions

Dude you need to put down a foam underlay down helps with grit, warmth and noise. Also independently lay the laminate from the edge short, then next row long

In the future, when moving stuff up or down the stairs, you can put thick cardboard on the stairs and slide the stuff up or down it's much easier.

That place is looking great Timmy. Crazy how heavy that stove is. Before I sold my house I had to replace the aging over the range microwave. Well, it was only me so I grabbed the 2 1/2 ton floor jack, put it on top of the range and lifted the microwave up. Good fun. Anyway, great content and keep up the awesome work.

It looks like you could use a winch on that upper landing. Firewood, concrete buckets etc. Could literally save your life during the winter

Stagger your flooring. Full piece ,half piece,quarter piece. To randomize the seems. It’s way stronger too, less movement for sure.

you've done great with the building but I'm sure others have pointed out, when putting down the flooring you should cut them and stagger the joints to eliminate it coming apart, you don't want them all lined up

Future reference if you need to move that stack washer dryer while it is still together without a dolly tip it to it back 1 person at the top 2 people at the bottom however they do come apart very easily then 2 people can carry each piece in 2 trips
