Jim hasn't got it wrong in his view. He's doing exactly what he set out to do & it's the reason why the Glazer's chose his bid. This is what he's done his whole life, make ruthless cost cuts, redundancies & generally eek out every penny of a asset you can. He's a Glazer's dream. He's doing everything they never had the leverage to do whilst taking 0 of the blame, & keeping most the profits/future gains. Some of cost costs are just brutal & petty...once you cut costs...next step is always to eek out every penny you can from fans

Exactly. I called this before he even took over. His entire business career is based on buying failing businesses then reducing costs as much as possible at the expense of staff and customer experience to turn a profit. Every single sports team he has gotten involved with has gotten worse under him. Lausanne, Nice, Team Sky, Mercedes ... all worse than when he took over. I am hoping Amorim saves United because I truly think he is a generational level manager but if he does then it will be despite Ratcliffe and not because of him.

Greed is absolutely destroying football. It could still be a tenner for a ticket if the greed wasn't sucking the life out of the game. We turn over £140m (ish) for all match day revenue. You could cover half of that by not paying stupid transfer fees for average players and then paying them 200k+ every week. It doesn't even have to negatively affect the team on the pitch. How much have they wasted just in the last 5 years? Mount £60m - £250k+ Antony £90m - £200k+ Sancho £75m - £300k+ Van De Beek £40m - £120k+ Harry Maguire £80m - £180k+ Thats 1 signing for each season up until this one. (Looks like we might have a Zirkzee shaped bundle of 50s to cover this year). Could anybody seriously argue that not making any of those signings would have made us any worse than we have been over that period? So if match day revenue was £600m over the last 5 years(inflation and that), and I just saved us £345m just on transfer fees, then ive just cut the ticket prices in half without negatively affecting the squad. Add the wages saved over that period, Mount £13m x1 = £13m Antony £10m x2 = £20m Sancho £15m x3 = £45m Van De Beek £6m x4 = £24m Maguire £9m x5 = £45m Thats another £147m saved, so we're heading towards £500m, just on 5 players who have either contributed nothing(mount, sancho, Donny), or could have easily had their roles filled for a third of what we paid (Antony and Maguire). That doesn't take account of Casemiro and Rashford's huge wages, or the likes of Martial, jones and Shaw getting a half million a week between them to keep the medical staff on their toes, or leech owners draining 100s of millions. So i don't believe them when they say they have to raise prices to be competitive. Its bullshit. Stop paying Barcelona level wages to Brighton level players and we could all go to the match for nowt. The year that Moyes came, i remember working it out at the time on an old message board(remember those? Lol), and you could have cut the ticket prices in half for the cost of one whole Marouan Fellaini. Imagine how terrible that season would have been if we'd not done that deal! Moyes mightve really struggled to keep us competitive... 😐

There was a key sentence there from Joe that I thought sums it up right now ’Bruno and Marcus are the faces of Man United right now, Bruno was away for internationals and Marcus was free because he can’t get into the England squad right now’ This sums it up, Marcus is a huge part of the club wether you’re a fan of his or not but it’s a bad sign when someone who doesn’t even make their national squad is one of our biggest players, or supposed to be at least. Tough times at the club, been a rough couple of years and it ain’t getting fixed over night.

Modern sport is not supposed to be an every week/other week experience for the common man, that is just a fact. Is is a blow to traditional football culture but it is not a cultural shift caused by one single club. They are competing with other types of live entertainment such as concerts, where the prices are even higher. The demand is there, a price hike will not change that fact. I feel sorry for the local fans being the backbone of the fan culture around the club and I hope the leadership makes sure the local culture does not completely erode. As an overseas fan I hope this change will help the club moving in the right direction competitively cause the fact is, in modern football, that a competitive club is a financially sustainable club.

Why is it people say, "we have to give INEOS the benefit of the doubt" or, "we have to stay positive and give them time"? Why don't we hear enough the perspective of the doubters? Why is it we have to drown out "negativity", even when it's just commentary on the obvious mistakes the club are making. INEOS takeover has been a disaster. Ever since the Glazers announced the "sale" to the dodgy price they were asking and the constant rounds of bids.... it's just felt like billionaires playing their powergames and the losers are the little people, the fans the staff the lifeblood of the club. It's really sickening to consider that Ratcliffe's takeover might have been arranged to basically help the Glazers with their dirty work. I think they've made a terrible mistake sacking ETH and I think the fans will turn on Amorim sooner or later because he can not succeed to the ridiculous levels the club pretend we are aiming at. I think if we'd stuck with ETH then fans would eventually realise we aren't competing with City, Liverpool or any of the well-run clubs. We are far more like NICE than we are Real Madrid. We have a big stadium and a big fanbase (for the next 10 or 20 years... I don't think we can possibly grow the fanbase it must be shrinking). I wish the Glazers hadn't agreed the deal, they would have lost loads of money and eventually they would have been forced to sell the whole club and the new owners could have started by throwing out the commercial model the scumbags used to rince the club. We'd have wanted 100m for Rashford 18 short months ago, 60m in the summer, and now we'd be lucky to get 30. I didn't mind him going to watch netball with loads of jewellery on - that's his business - but pretty much snubbing the manager is not the brightest if he wants a future at the club. And maybe he doesn't. Given that he stopped playing once he got the big new contract, it's safe to say cash informs a lot of his decision making. So he'll be aware that the lower any transfer fee paid for him, the higher signing on fee he'd get from another club. That would explain a lot of the non-effort performances. I'd take 30 million. Just get rid and move on.

He was very real. The media/pundits just kept acting like he wasn't for a joke. Paddock literally had Atheltic's Mark Critchley on who verified his background with a deep dive article. He was a lifelong Man Utd fan, even part of the old 'Red Knights' bid to buyout Glazers in 2010, he is real, he is a rich royal son of a billionaire who also is chairman of a Qatari bank. Also sat on UBS's board. Has links to football with likes of Xavi vouching for him & proving he's real/known guy in industry. Heck, the guys son literally had an instagram going back showing them at united games & family pictures of them with his dad & grandad (billionaire-ex PM of qatar). Who also confirmed their bid reports with Bloomberg. Whole thing reeked of a propaganda by constantly joking about him not being real...I didn't want Qatar as it just brings bad press, but it made me realise how biased the media including paddock were.
