I don’t like talking about this but me and my brothers were some of the kids Rashford helped during covid. He made a massive difference to our lives and there are probably thousands of kids across the country that’ll say the same. So this just makes Simon Jordan’s comments all the more bizzare. Even if you take away everything Rashford’s ever done in football, he’ll still have had more of an impact in the “real world” than Simon Jordan’s entire family tree. And Rashford was doing this in his early 20s.
@davidgriffith155215 сағат бұрын
Thank you for this! I’m 98.5% convinced that the online (and TalkSport) Rashford hate comes from people that are still fucking pissed he held the Tory feet to the fire during the early days of the pandemic… AND WON. He absolutely shamed the government into doing the right thing, by doing the right thing himself. Anytime someone says something like “_____ should stick to football” or “______ doesn’t know anything about the real world” I just assume they’re a racist Tory.

Honestly i wish Ex players would be more supportive of our team! Yes some criticism is warranted but hearing Scholes or Neville wax lyrical about Liverpool and City! People get on Rio for not being a great presenter, for not being an analyst, or for whatever… truth is, he’s one of the only United legends that consistently, regularly lives and breathes United in public. Until the standards raise don't expect winners to rate losers! Those ex-players critiquing the club have standards and were part of elite teams and record breaking seasons. They lasted and became legends at the club due to their winning mentality. Our domination and competitiveness during there years playing at the club gives them the right to critique the club players and manager , you can never achieve greatness by being dishonest with yourself or others. It's funny because, in the "real world", Marcus Rashford got the government to change its policies around free school meals. Providing hundreds of thousands, if not millions of kids' meals. His impact on the "real world" is 1000x what most will achieve, especially Simon Jordons. The dude says stuff to have his opinion stay relevant. Every one of his takes is aimed at getting attention, none are thought through or inciteful. Leaches off others success to stay relevant after failing in all his business ventures.
@-Old-School-Gamer14 сағат бұрын
I keep hearing people say that we don’t have a style of play and really don’t understand why. Man United’s style of play is clear to me. ETH wants to play a 4-2-4 formation without the ball, then quickly transitioning to either a 3-2-5 or 3-1-6 formation with the ball. When it’s the 3-2-5, you’ll see one of the fullbacks step into midfield, therefore allowing one of our midfield players to join the attack. If it’s the 3-1-6 (which will likely only be used against lesser opposition and low-block systems), you will see either both of our fullbacks go forward helping to stretch the pitch, or we’ll see one of our midfielders join the attack along with one fullback. The system also includes having a high line of defence, so the front players can press the opposition high up the pitch, without leaving acres of space in the middle, just like we were seeing last season because unfortunately, we didn’t have defenders capable of playing it. The signing of Ugarte was essential for us being able to play the 3-1-6 formation, because Casemiro doesn’t have the legs to do that job alone anymore, because the CDM basically needs to cover the ground of two midfielders, and the signings of Mattias De Ligt and Lenny Yoro were essential signings for allowing the team to play with high defensive line. Personally, I think Casemiro may be used more as an 8 rather than a 6 this season once Ugarte has settled in, because let’s be honest he still excels when going forward. Is everybody comfortable and do they completely understand the formation yet, NO THEY DON’T. However, are we slowly seeing (realistic) progression throughout the team YES. Dose everyone appear to be focused and reading from the same page YES. That’s all we can realistically ask at this moment, now that our club has just started a TOP to BOTTOM rebuild, because we are finally starting to see a GENUINE foundation to build upon. We are finally seeing exactly what we we’ve been asking for, so now it’s our turn as fans to be patient, to have faith in INEOS, to back the players we have, and to also back the manager and coaching staff. Please people, stop throwing your toys out of the pram every time we drop points, because it achieves nothing, other than negativity and ammunition for rivals. P.S. If anyone wants a better understanding of what ETH’s style of play is, STAT MAN DAVE made an excellent and in-depth video about the 4-2-4 aspect not that long ago, where he explains that part of the formation in far greater detail.

I think asking any manager "is it your players or your system that's the problem" is disgusting. You're literally framing the question in such a way that he has to throw his players under the bus or say his own tactics suck. The only right answer is to say it's neither, but Ten Hag isn't the most well-spoken, so he's unlikely to flip the question. Other than that, we’ve been the better team in all games. As mentioned, Xg is up, the press looks better, there’s more competition, the new signings look good, we’ve just scored 10 goals in 2 games, shots against is down - there is definite tangible, statistically proven, visible improvement. Media will say there isn’t but it is right there. Mentality is still a lingering question though - and that will be key vs. Palace. Really hope we can win this one. My thoughts we got it tactical wrong we could have made it very difficult for Liverpool we choose to go after them and paid the price. The Barnsley game we looked a bit wobbly for the first 10 min and after we scored we could see it he confidence grow . I hope we take that confidence into weekend and play tactically. Very harsh on Simon Jordan.
@jamesplatt336813 сағат бұрын
Simon Jordan is actually very articulate and accurate about a lot of things and is also complementary about United a lot of the time. People shouldn’t get so wound up about differing opinions. Also ‘pampered elite’ is such a bitter, generic and meaningless term.

Stratford paddock is running out of topics to talk about manutd ,can't blame them. While I love the channel it's important to keep the quality of videos rather than quantity . I guess KZbin algorithm dictates that content is necessary every day. Maybe you guys can review the weekends action scores the premier league

I don’t follow garbage like sky etc so it would be nice if this channel gave some general prem or champs league europa updates, I’d rather hear it from here and be updated than following msm

I don't think this video is any different to most of them tbh. No idea what you're complaining about.

They are a lot more fun than most or all of tv foot ball pundits. And while they can be biased towards united ( rightly so , since they are a United fan channel) the group is usually balanced when they discuss other teams and would love to hear from them about other games too

I am not exactly a simon jordan fan but come on guys.... it was obvious he meant if we just want to be winning cups and be bad in the league then we can go back to the 70s. Not that i agree with that statement.

The point is that he belittles Ten Hag achievements all the time. He literally said: " ten hag doesn't have the charisma to be a coach". Simon has an agenda and it's definitely AGAINST Ten Hag.

the views expressed by those in the video are embarrassing the fanbase; this persecution complex and constant claims of media bias against united are ridiculous. The gentlemen in the video are of a similar age to myself have seen the real ABU bias that existed when sir alex was here which was a result of us consistently winning, matching good results WITH good performances. At the end of the day regardless of what the media is pushing we as fans should be even more critical with our analysis of the team and demand much more. However it seems the fanbase has now took it upon themselves to lower standards them selves and expect less all in support of a manager prior to united has done nothing of note in world football ( the dutch leauge is ranked lower than the spanish, german, french and italian leauges) I really struggle to understand how mature aged fans ( who lived through our real success) blindly support ETH despite all the negative results, the worst leauge finishes, negative records set, poor singings, falling out with accomplished players for what cup wins? A leuage cup which historically has been a 2nd rate domestic cup and a FA cup win a competition which even sir alex considered least important of cups up for grabs each season THE LEAUGE IS THE TRUE TEST and a test ETH is continuing to fail! Stop aiming your critiques out the club and look inwards and hold ETH accountable.

@@Stegibbon you must be born in the 2000s and mentally fragile? toxicity for being objective, sorry mate men grow by honest assessment of flaws and then attacking those flaws head on.
